Just trying to get a fix on where I am oom wise,

Is there anyone here remaining from the January 16 campaign still waiting on an offer?

Yeah I'm from that campaign (assuming it's the same campaign as December 2015) and still waiting. Don't even remember my oom at this stage but think it's around the 400 mark. Everything done just waiting on the sign off! It's a long oul wait isn't it?! If I didn't have patience before I certainly have been taught it!

    Vetting still outstanding.

Might be interesting if we can get a few posts on vetting.

    When does it actually start?

Can we try get times from the internet on vetting from certain countries.

As far as I know it's 6 months on a UK request.

Oh I nearly forgot this bit of info I got off recruitment last week.

Induction weeks are scheduled for the weeks starting 16th and 23rd of October

I assume the reasoning for having the induction weeks a week earlier than when they're usually scheduled is due to the halloween bank holiday.

So going by that my logic would be that it would be very possible that offers may actually start going out on the week starting 11th september in order to give a month's notice for starting.

I presume those from previous campaigns take priority over newer campaigns in terms of oom?? I am from the current most recent campaign, if succesful I presume we wouldnt be sent to templemore until November 18 / January 29??

    Older campaigns are offered first.

All depends on your oom and if your file is complete and ready to go whilst others may be waiting for vetting etc.

I seen one individual who had a oom of+500 from the sept 16 campaign enter templemore in august simply because their file was ready before others.

    Hallo,
Just wondering if anyone has any idea where I'm at.
I'm part of the September 2016 group, all stages passed and an oom between 230 to 240. I recently asked HRM and my file is complete. So essentially my question is do you think I might be November or more likely next year ?
    Thank you

I'm in the same situation with only a slightly lower oom and from my rough ''calculations'' I'm highly expecting a call for November (Although I'm well aware there's no guarantees)

I was told that offers for November would be out the first week of October so hopefully it'll be good news

Still here, Jan 2016 Campaign. early 1000 oom. vetting has been signed off. Crossing everything for offer for November.

Again this is mostly speculation on my part, but it's based on having too much time on my hands and going though previous offer dates and start dates etc.

I'm fully expecting the week of the 18th to be the date that the offers go out but wouldn't be surprised if they went out on the week of the 11th after hearing the dates that the induction weeks are planned for. :):):)

You're more or less guaranteed a spot i'd say. I'd say it's been a long wait lad.

Am i right to assume that lets say you receive a oom of 50 from the current campaign, that you then get given an overall oom behind all previous campaigns??

Don't think it's a matter of being given a new OOM, you're OOM isn't dynamic and won't change.

This is perhaps the simplest way to imagine it; that each campaign has a stack of complete files, once your file is complete it's added to the correct stack in the order of your OOM.

When it's time for offers to go out the fully complete files from the older campaigns are offered first etc.

    That's my understanding of it.

That makes sense yeah, thanks MrBlack

You're not wrong mate. It's the ultimate test of your patience. Have put a lot on hold for this application, keep saying to myself it's what I want and it will be worthwhile in the end. Hopefully hear something positive in the next couple of weeks.

Hopefully we all get there! Tis awful painful waiting!

Desperate to throw in the towel in my current job and just get back to doing a bit of voluntary work for a wile!

There's been no movement for the last few weeks regarding those of us who are just awaiting final sign off. It is kinda frustrating as the offers date looms closer but I've received multiple assurances from HRMthat they'll be signed off in time for the next round of offers.

    If this delay is as a result of the Comissionar being out of office then there's some good news;
According to the article below Noirin O'Sullivan is expected back on the 4th of september (next Monday) so hopefully we should see some sign offs occurring then.

If she's only back then and the offers are out the 11th I think we'd be really pushing it to get an offer ? Although it would be great I'm eager to leave my current job and get started to be honest. Is it looking like there is many from the January 2016 campaign ? If not we may be lucky ?

Only time will tell I'm afraid, but yeah 11th is just kind of an earliest possibility, I still reckon it'll be the 18th :pac::pac::pac:

There's a handful of people from previous campaigns that were deferred for various reasons that will be ahead of us.

If you carefully review the August intake thread you'll see that a good number of people from sept 16 were in that intake.

Also take into account the candidates which are lost during medical(5-10%), fitness(on my day there were 8 no shows and 4 fails), vetting fails (very small number), vetting outstanding and dropouts which aren't accounted for in your OOM.

there's a good few below our OOM waiting but i'm confident we should get a shot :)

(Although don't take my word for it, everything I say is an educated guess)

You do make some very valid points tho ! Well I hope your educated guess is right for both of us buddy. The sooner we get started the better ! :)

I know the proposed start date of the November intake is 6th but do you think it might be moved to the 31st of October. I see previous campaigns started on a Tuesday, usually after a bank holiday weekend. Would also make sense if the first induction is on 16th October.

have my PCt on the 9th September,

    From Jan 2016 campaign,

would ye guys reckon i have a shot of making november?

That's cutting in very close! Maybe if your vetting is clear you might just squeeze yourself in. Maybe get a second round offer but you'd have to be a bit lucky.

By the sounds of it they have a massive backlog of files waiting for final sign off so maybe don't get your hopes up too much.

First time to post.. But I'm from Sept 16 campaign...my vetting has been signed and cleared. Just waiting on the call. .my OOM was 570 since last February...but taking into account people failing the medical and physical, I hope to get the November call. Been very frustrating waiting.

Emailed hrm today they said my vetting was in a que to be signed off and that they would endeavour to get as many done as quick as possible

September 2016 with OOM in the mid 500s, Rang Appointments the other day and was told that there was one small thing to be done on my vetting so I'd be really hoping for November at this stage

Nah that date's set in stone,

I noticed that about previous campaign and was wondering why it was different. Only logical reasoning being that there must be some sort of logistical issue regarding the halloween holidays as opposed to a regular bank holiday
