Replacing the all out attack chip

But it's essentially a wildcard right?

Do the two regular wildcards still stand?

Yep. So it's a way more useful chip than the AOA one. I must read up on the value thing during it though, I'm presuming you just gain/or lose any value added to your original squad while having the free hit squad for that week.

Yep still two wildcards - one this year, one next year. The new chip is essentially a one week punt where you can pick a team to suit just that week. A 'skinny' game week, where there are less fixtures than normal has been touted as a good time to use this chip, and I'm inclined to agree. After using the chip, your squad goes back to how it was before - and indeed has been gaining(or losing) value in the meantime, like always.

Ah ok , that makes more sense....i initially thought it was just a third WC which would have been a little absurd, thanks for the info

Can any Newcastle fans tell me what Benitez preferred centre back pairing will be?

Three into two does not go and he is inclined to drop anyone if he feels there are better options.
So the lascelles captaincy does not make any difference?

When lascelles is back will he be paired with clark. Or will it be lejeune and clark/ lejeune and lascelles?

I'm on the other side of the divide, but Lejeune and Clark have had all the minutes in pre-season. Lascelles is captain but has scarcely played at all this pre-season.

    Lejeune is in my team.

Have to go to dinner with the missus tonight. Restaurant booked for bang on 8:00pm

The inevitable multiple toilet breaks to check score to see how my FF players will be doing is back!

Good luck tonight folks and good luck in work today if you manage not to tinker with it :pac:

    Morning all

    Favourite day of the season.

I imagine this is how footballers feel when they wake up on the day of a cup final or something.

I'm gonna start with a hearty but healthy breakfast, a quick stretch and then get a rub down from the physio before I settle down to pick my final draft.

Aye, I'm on board with Friday night games but just like the tradition to have all gw38 games on a Sunday, Gw1 should start on a Saturday.

Yes, every 2nd team in the RMT thread has DDG or a united defender.

It will be Darmian, but you'll get F all out of him for attacking related points.

    Darmian
    Mostly
But blind may get a game

Then either a new left back will be signed or Shaw returns

De Gea or bailly are the safest cheapest routes in

Staying away from TAA myself after having him in my team for a bit.

Milner may well play there. Gomez also played rb a good bit in pre season.

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

May be starting until Clyne regains fitness.

Very cheap coverage of an elite defense.

    But

Danger is that he may need to be transferred out fairly quickly depending on when Clyne comes in. Unless he plays out of his skin which is also possible. Also Liverpool have very difficult weeks in succession early. Week 3 Arsenal(h) Week 4 Man City(a).

Is anyone going with Kyle Walker-Peters?

    Edit: reading this, probably not

    Final decisions to be made.

Mkhitaryan or Pedro? Or Willian with an extra £1m to upgrade Goalkeeper/Defence?

Pedro over Mkhitaryan for me. The second question is a bit tougher. Still trying to decide myself!

FF Scout have their predicted line-ups up. Some things that stood out:

    - No Cedric. They have Pied starting instead.
    - Phil Jones alongside Bailly
    - Alexander-Arnold and Moreno starting for Liverpool
    - Knockaert in for Brighton
    - Francis starting for Bournemouth (4.5m)
    - Rodriguez out wide for WBA with Rondon the central striker.

I have Cedric but the more things I see and read makes me think what's the point in taking a risk when Yoshida and Stephens are the same price?

This is the first year I've taken this proper serious.

    GK: DDG (Elliot)

DF: Bailly, Yoshida, Alexander-Arnold (Mbemba, long)

MF: KDB, Salah, Fabregas, Carroll (Ritchie)

    FW: Lukaku, Jesus, Batshuayi

    I've no budget left over. Questions are;
1: I'm fluttering between Jesus and Lacazette. I can't for the life of me pick which one, can someone make a decision for me??
    2: Fabregas or Willian??
3: do I start Carroll or Ritchie?

Ah the free hit one looks good alright. Is that a new one this year? The triple captain and bench points ones are more down to luck I'm guessing?

The triple captain should always be used in a double gameweek

Yeah, after reading that yesterday I took him out for Yoshi.

    1 Jesus
    2 I have Willian but that's only me. It's a toss-up
    3. This week, Ritchie
