    House mate has pre-ordered, but is away from console for the duration of the beta. Need to convince him to pass on a code...for the greater good! :D

    Even though it was content-lite, I enjoyed the first (and sometimes I like fewer maps and modes so I can actually get to grips with them). Looking forward to giving this a bash. Curious to see how the earning points to get a hero works out.

    Pre-ordered it because I really enjoyed the first and this one seems to improve on it in every way. Having a hell of a lot of fun with it right now.

    Was watching people play this last night on Twitch. Looked pretty good fun. I skipped the first one because I heard poor feedback but this looks interesting enough. But not sure if I'll be big into the third person view and the fact the hero stuff looks a bit OTT.

    Watching people go on monster killstreaks with Han solo two shotting people

    The feedback I've seen is much more positive.

    We may actually have that rare scenario where a games company screwed up, actually listened to complaints and sorted it in the sequel. And it's EA as the twist.

    I played the beta yesterday and I can't wait to get back to it today. It is great fun.

    The first game was a tech demo in comparison.

    The graphics and effects are fantastic. The feeling of immersion in the world is top notch. Its great to see a proper progression system with classes and abilities unlike the first game.

    They also have challenges to complete that I was happy to do. They award you with boxes/crates with rewards that you can utilise for the different classes.

    I had a big smile from the beginning of my session until the end of it.

    *I play third person view by the way. I felt this was a better experience in the previous game. By default its set to first person view but you can switch in-game.

    Had a few games at lunch at this is much, much better than the last one.
    Guns are much more satisfying to use, it has classes and power-ups/heroes are more like kill streaks than random drops.
    The previous beta stopped me pre-ordering, this one might make me do it.

    Looking forward to giving it a try over the weekend. First one looked and sounded amazing, but had zero depth. This is apparently much better in that regard.

    They are actually much better once you get the hang of them. You can make the controls similar to the first game in the options.

    How are ye finding it so far? I only had time to play 2 games, but it feels very clunky? Might just be my settings but the aiming feels slower than I'd expect from an fps. Might need a few more games to get used to it.

    Sunday night/monday morning I think.

    Played some earlier, its ok, runs anyways. tried to boot it up again this evening and everytime it goes to black as its loading, computer restarts......not sure if its meant to do that :confused:

    Can someone explain the control system to me. I'm playing it in 1st person but it doesn't really feel like any other fps I've ever played.
    It kind of feels like it's somewhere between over the shoulder and a regular shooter.
    It doesn't feel as accurate when aiming .

    I really wasn't to like this game but find this quite off putting.

    Looks great, plays pretty OK. Hard to really tell though until the full game is released how good it'll be. First Battlefront looked great and played OK also but a total shambles in terms of content, how vehicles worked and how maps/game modes were structured. More like a demo than a full game.

    i wasnt into the 1st battlefront honestly as it didnt have a story mode which was disappointing but i am hoping this one will prove to be a better game as it has a story mode this time. Still I'm not getting my hopes up about it though

    Just up the sensitivity in the game options and its great.

    The original 2003 and 2005 games also had a 1st person option, but I'd say 90% of the userbase played in 3rd person. So much so, that I don't even consider Battlefront an FPS really!

    It's taken me far too long to realise that I've gone from an average Battlefield player to an atrocious one, I should have learned with BF4. I barely have time to go near my PC any more and this Beta has shown that I'm too rubbish to keep up.
    So many rounds with zero or a handful of cheap kills all while being obliterated by those one or two players that can dominate the leader board.

    The game is real pretty and I appreciate that they've finally allowed proper pitch and roll flight controls (legacy setting) but there's no point spending money to be completely frustrated all the time.
