I reckon Botha's hand is OK if he could do this today.

Is it his left hand injured? Is that red tape or something on it? Could also just be a reflection or something..

That’s some farmers tan, looks like he’s fitting in well down in Munster.

If he had an injured/broken hand to you really think he'd be putting that much pressure on it?

Nope, but was curious if it was taped/strapped

No citing for CJ after the weekend which has brought outrage from certain parts of the internet.

Tackle that was close to being very high. Not deserving of a citing though...

Stander and Twelvetrees not getting cited is a bit of a joke.

Whatever about Stander, Twelvetrees hit has to be cited if they're talking about contact with the head. Archer also fortunate for his sheer stupidity but that sort of lazy high tackle isn't where focus is at the moment. It will be within the next couple of years though, I'm sure.

The only disciplinary hearings are for the two red cards. No one has been cited across ten matches which is unusual, especially in the current climate.

The EPCR may want to just keep their heads down and not draw any more attention to the issue.

That's very much a glass half full update. Serious ankle damage could easily be a season ending injury.
Yeah, what dummy wrote that? I would have thought it's pretty well known in sports circles that ligaments heal incredibly slowly.

It won't happen. Munster/the IRFU will move mountains to keep him here purely due to the level of disruption it would cause and the associated PR disaster.

If he is on the shortlist though which Erasmus has had a hand in compiling, you have to laugh. Smiling assassin.

If JVG wants to go can he be stopped though?

Well, it's a 6 month notice period which means he wouldn't be able to link up with them until mid-season. Automatically, that would make him a less appealing option (although we don't know what Ackermann's contract situation is given he's coaching in this part of the world too).

I would think he's not high on their short list anyway. He has proven very little as a head coach still. I reckon it's mostly just column inches being filled.

Rassie had a hand in compiling, in the sense that hes springboks coach and had to be informed.

    That's it.

There's no actual facts/sources in this

The article says Erasmus is on the committee for appointing the Bulls coach. That's more than just being informed and I doubt the Indo (as little respect as we give it) would state something in such black and white terms unless he is actually on the committee.

A quick check shows the inital report in South African media which also names all those on the appointing committee (and also names JVG as a shortlist option):

Does Rassie not have to be though? as he's springbok coach?
Like I would expect him to be involved in every process Headcoach wise over there?

To make out that his involvement meant JVG is more likely to go is BS(which si what the indo tried to do)

If JVG goes, it only clears space for ROG to make his triumphant return

    Chomsky(2017) on the Republican party

"Has there ever been an organisation in human history that is dedicated, with such commitment, to the destruction of organised human life on Earth?"

I think you're reading too much into it. I'm not sure the Indo is trying to suggest that and neither was I. Of course they're going to report that he's involved given he was the last Munster coach who departed in very similar circumstances.

I don't think a departure is more likely because of Erasmus' presence; I would be shocked if JVG departed or was even interviewed. If the Bulls asked for permission, I'd expect Munster to pick up the phone and tell Erasmus where to go.

Would be fairly embarrassing for Munster and IRFU if that came to pass.. To lose 1 head coach was bad enough, another would not be ideal. I think Munster are in a good place and JvG happy in his role so I'd be shocked if he moved.

Very well could be to be fair :)

I can't see Munster even allowing contact really!

Wouldn't asking permission just be a courtesy though? They surely don't need permission.

Like, Rassie himself, Lam and Gibbes have all managed to depart these shores while under contract, and Dan McFarland managed to arrive despite the SRU's wishes.

I have no idea how likely it is to happen (very unlikely I'd guess) but if JVG is interested, it will go ahead.
