TBH considering the Russian governments plans to tighten up on dissent, I would not put this past the FSB.

lets leave the conspiracy theories for now yeah?

I dunno. In countries like Russia where the Government is accountable to absolutely nobody, conspiracy theories have a much larger possibility of being true. There is huge skepticism about who carried the bombings in 1999 in Moscow for example and with Russia there is so many things unexplained.

Still, it's an awful tragedy. I have been to Saint Petersburg twice and I think it is a fantastic city. Have a friend who is from there but thankfully all of her family are ok.

I don't care if it's about the Chechens, the Syrians or a gas explosion: NO speculation without reliable information.

    Horrible stuff if its terrorism.

What else could it possibly be? An accident? I don't know of any other way to describe this other than terrorism. It doesn't matter who planted the bombs.

It's an awful thing to happen, these people were just doing normal stuff, going to work, shopping, bring their kids out etc etc. I can't imagine what it's like to be in that situation.

RIP to those who lost their lives for some cause they have nothing to do with.
    TO LATE!!

To late, or not to late, that is the question.

It means next to nothing of course, ISIS will claim anything they see as getting them publicity.

apparently the device used was a briefcase with the equivalent of 300g of tnt, this is based off the unexploded device found.

In Russia? He'll never see prison because when they catch him, he'll be spending every minute left of his miserable life being tortured for information . A deserved fate too.

Some of the things that happened the people are just horrific, everyone covered in blood, people with their hair burned off from the explosion.

As with all attacks like this, the sheer hate involved to do this is the real scary thing.

He stands out that guy. Who ever was around him would notice him, I would. I would notice a guy like that drop a case and then wander off without it.

I know someone who panicked because a similar man left his briefcase on the seat on the train in London. She reported it. Turned out to be nothing, he was just using the bathroom. This is a bit different...

She done right thing in the world we now live in. I'd move far away if someone dropped a bag and left.

It seems really quick to release a photo of the suspect ...

I dunno its a bit mad, last time i was in the airport I went to the jacks and left my bag unnatended and when i came back it was surrounded by sniffer dogs and very serious looking swat types

She still fees bad though. Maybe people don't think about it when they see it, like in the Russian incident, because of that.

But even still.. with other attacks in other nations, they weren't so quick to release information on the suspects. It just seems ... odd.
