Never seen that in boards...what browser and boards view are you using? You can probably long press on the notification in the pull-down and choose to hide it - you'd lose it for even when playing music, though.

Edit: just checked and that would kill all system notifications, so you don't want that. I'll be running Viper ROM in the next day or two, that let's you hide any individual icon you want.

Chrome and touch.boards.ie. The ads im scrolling past have like sound icons top right but aren't actually playing anything.

They'll get Viper going that soon? I'm keeping an eye out for a xda thread at the moment.

Billpay upgrade on the 45 p/m contract. Locked to 3 I'd imagine (due to the 3 branding on startup). Only black in stock - they had 3 on Henry Street in Dublin earlier and I got one. €299 upfront. I'm not going to lie, it's pretty sexy!

Don't think I've ever bought a phone with a screen protector on it. I remember the original galaxy S had one with graphics all over it.

Ya the m8 m9 and 10 bought them all on adverts from resellers and all had the basic plasticy screen protector s. I guess I'll just have to buy one somewhere!

First full day on a charge will be interesting tomorrow. I've only lost 25% so far today, with almost 2 hours screen on time. On WiFi at home, but lots of apps updating, using camera etc.

I like it. HTC's are extremely familiar to me at this stage, so it definitely feels like I'm back using one. They seem to have addressed some of the weaknesses of the 10, like Wi-Fi and NFC.

Nothing has blown me away, but everything seems well done. Screen seems good, happy with the size. Camera seems decent. External speakers don't seem that great to me, but I don't really use them. Haven't even tried USonic headphones yet.

Only negative I've had so far is that my finger will block the bottom speaker when I'm holding in one hand. Sense is also a very dated skin. It needs a refresh of some sort.

If I get time this weekend, I'll whack out a system wide dark theme. I reckon it's going to be much the same as my theme for the 10, so shouldn't take long.

The notification shade and the settings menu are obviously normal stock Android and I installed nova and reloaded my setup which is very pixel like, so im not getting the datedness as much, although the dialer is a little different for me alright.

Nice. Though 350 minutes or 700 texts kinda sucks for 45 month when Eir is unlimited for same price but i guess only half the data (15GB). Have to jump to 60 for unlimited but then phone is only 199. Might just buy unlocked in a month or so.

Guarantee you go onto S7 forums and see loads of people complaining about scratches. I've seen it with my last few devices, even though I've never had a scratch myself.

Guarantee you go onto S7 forums and see loads of people complaining about scratches. I've seen it with my last few devices, even though I've never had a scratch myself.

Guarantee it will go to level 6 before scratching.

No idea how the bend test will go, the U Ultra was terrible, but I think the U11 is constructed a bit better. He also weakened the cr*p out of the back panel by putting loads of deep scratches into it before bending.

How Soon Is Now

Looked all over the place online and doesnt look like any screen protectors in stock until another week or so if you take into account delivery as well.

Its an even longer wait for decent cases as well.

These are only two ive spot so far that would be out soon or already out.
