America. Telling the world what they can and can't do for generations.

Yet we have the 'liberals' complaining that the US will be more isolationist under Trump with foreign aid cut backs and less UN involvement. Really can't win with some people.

I'd put money on Trump invading a country on a major scale before the next election. It's the only thing that could get him re-elected.
He could take a leaf out of Clinton's book and blow up an aspirin factory.

looks like the US is playing North Korea at their own game. They have been taunting the west for years, videos of New York under nuclear attack, nuclear weapons testing, artillery strikes on a South Korean island, sinking of a sub, threatening destruction. What did they think would happen.

None of those areas are "west" they are east and south of NK

Taking out Kim would be a minimum. After that, and I think you'd seem some very relieved and grateful cronies.

Not sure about that, anyone currently in a position of power in NK would surely fear what the people would do to them if they lost power - expect thousands to be executed by the people, at a minimum. The same people who have lived in poverty, famine, fear for decades won't forget who enforced the dictators wishes.

Here we go again believing western propaganda...all the oppressed people waiting for whitey to bring his" freedom and democracy" :D
Reality is rightly or wrongly they adore "beloved leader" and will fight like demons for him..if whitey is expecting flowers there he will get a rude reality check when bouquets turn out to be grenades.

Nah, they are as likely to rise up post Kim as they are now. I'd fully expect totalitarian rule to continue, just less fear of the leaders being done away in a gruesome manner at the 'Whim of Kim'.

It's the general term for US and it's allies and you know it.

Sure NK have every right to be ready and armed. USA are bullies. Invading who they like. NK have every right to defend themselves.

Yeah, that explains the estimated 200,000 political prisoners. They probably loved the leader too much, right?

While they starve. Seems a fair trade off.

Seoul. NK can't flatten it, but a few hundred thousand artillery rounds would be possible.
I was referring to the probability that NK would attack ALL it's enemies in retaliation of a US strike.

Do an internet search on North Korean military power and you will find out ;)

Sure didn't Kim single handedly win the last FIFA world cup ,

I'm sure he could beat america with one hand behind his back ,

Ah, defending themselves, that must be why they launched those missiles aimed at Japan, because of the incessant Japanese aggression and threats these past few years.

    Pull the other one.

Of course it would be a short conflict. Of course it wouldn't escalate. Of course they would all be home for Christmas. Those masters of military strategy and geopolitics Trump and Pence and Bannon have it planned and measured to a millimeter.

The first declaration of war via Twitter.

'He also defended the deployment of a US missile system in South Korea.'

But the US would be fine if Mexico planted loads of missiles on their border..

    Riiiight

The people of NK have only one source of information, their own government's version of the truth. Those people are educated to hate the rest of the world and yes, they'll fight.

Yeah, because the US repeatedly threatens to nuke Mexico. Pull the other one.

Twitter is probably banned in NK, although I'm sure Kim and his cronies have access.

If Mexico said they were were for shooting down drug courier planes, they would probably offer to help pay for them.

Over 2 million prisoners in America including the likes of Bradley Manning..guess they loved Freedom too much, right?

Planting a missile system on North Korea's border isn't a preventative measure. It's a provocative one.

Missile defence system, but you know that. Still going with the Mexico analogy?

US will wipe us all out eventually. Under the guise of 'peacekeeping' of course.

One down, 199,999 to go. And you would be hard pressed to claim he is a political prisoner - he admits breaking national security laws.
