How is it that the father in each case, going on what is reported- or to be more accurate not reported , is never mentioned. Joe interviewed two actual mothers today and every opinion was proffered/ questions asked except " and do you know who the father is. I find this amazing. These fathers were apparently not to blame because these women were temptresses and therefor they had no choice.
How come the Catholic Church did not categorise these fathers as "Fallen men" and be treated in an equivalent fashion to the womenfolk who gt them pregnant.

There is a belief that these "fallen women" did not know what was going on when they were having intercourse because it was a taboo subject to discuss, they were young and very innocent, etc.
What I find hard to understand that as time marched on and some of these women continued to work in these mother and baby Homes and other institutions run by nuns that they did not know what had happened to them in the fullness of time and blow the cover of these randy males. There must have been some feisty women that broadly knew what had been done to them and would have discussed with the more nieve ones as to the broad issue that had them all in this M andB home. Women do talk and share experiences.
Maybe the above is for another thread BUT Joe or any of the other presenters , (O Rourke, D'Arcy or Tubs) never asked who the father was and none of those interviewed made no reference to who Rambo was either. I find that baffling

Because they're sh7t scared of being sued on the strength of hearsay and opinion. Unless and until there's DNA evidence being proferred, it's just accusatory.

When are 2015s whopping big numbers out?

    RTÉ compared to BBC
While the BBC may pay their top personalities more than RTÉ do, comparatively the figures do not reflect favourably on the Irish broadcaster. BBC take in over €4 billion in license fees compared to €196 million for RTÉ (RTÉ’s income is based on an approximately 50:50 split between license fees and commercial revenue). The UK audience for the BBC channels and radio stations, meanwhile, is more than 62,640,000 compared to 4,487,000 for RTÉ in Ireland.

Furthermore, the UK enjoys a much more competitive television broadcasting environment, with the biggest stars highly sought after by the likes of Channel 4, Sky and ITV as well as the BBC. In Republic of Ireland TV3 remains the only private competitor to RTÉ, alongside the state funded Irish language station TG4. Irish talent are often more likely to move to British television broadcasters than the local competitors.

Taking these statistics into account, and discounting the commercial wings of both organistations, the BBC earn over 20 times the public income that RTÉ do, and play to an audience almost fourteen times the size (not including the very wide international audience for Britain’s public broadcaster). However, the BBC paid their top talent only around three times the amount received by RTÉ’s highest earners.

"But, but, but, but if we don't pay them multiples of what the Taoiseach earns they'll leave and go to other stations so to speak" said Willie O'Reilly, formerly of Today FM and now of RTE. "Just last week Daithi O Sé was approached by the BBC to replace Jeremy Paxman; Ray D'Arcy was asked by NBC to host SNL and Marty Morrissey was approached by the E! Network to replace Ryan Seacrest which I completely understand as Marty is much better looking than Seacrest as well as being a better presenter. Oh and Des Cahill was asked to be judge on Strictly Come Dancing after his amazing performance in Dancing With The Stars Ireland. Oh and Joe Duffy was asked to replace Jimmy Fallon on NBC but he said he'd rather concentrate on his Presidential Campaign for the next Election.

Will pale in comparison to the increase in Joe's fees I suspect but that won't stop hi claiming it's "disgraceful" and "outrageous" etc. so to speak.

From his whinging and bitching on this issue you can tell three things about Joe...

    1. He's self employed, albeit on the best part of half a million per annum.
    2. He has to pay his own health insurance which hurts his tight pocket every time.
    3. He didn't have adequate insurance when he hurt de leg a few years back. Probably ticked the cheapest option and expected the first class ticket.
