Don't get me wrong there's nothing wrong with getting a designer handbag if you can afford it (I know I'd splash out if I could) but the way she said it was a bit immature, she was like 'I work so hard so I deserve I it blah blah blah' and then going on about how hardworking she is.

I'm sure she's a hard worker but it almost seemed like she was boasting. Tbh spending the day in Pjs with ur baby and going to a few events here and there is not exactly saving lives. You never hear Terrie McEvoy going on about being a hard worker and she's a full time nurse on top of blogging

When I hear them on about being hard workers I literally roll my eyes so far back in my head I could start a convulsion. Imagine coming home from a tough days slog, wrecked, have to make your dinner, maybe put kids to bed, barely have time to enjoy watching tv as the thoughts of being up early again the best morning just ruin any enjoyment you may get from your evening. And then you turn on snapchat to hear a blogger justifying buying a €2,000 bag because she "deserves it and works hard". Omg embarrassing. I'd have more respect for her if she just said I bought this cos I liked it and can afford it at the minute.

That Just Jordan rant was seriously overboard. And every day she's saying how she's working so hard this week. Day 5 of 7, my god like! As if work is this new phenomenon that nobody else does, or ever has one busy week. yet still in pajamas at lunchtime?

It's not about the bag, all that rant did was show the rest of us what some people here who know her personally have been saying. I hadn't believed it before now but I'd say she'd eat you if you looked sideways in her direction.

The only one who seems to be flat out IMO is Pippa but I still wouldn't even call that hard work as what she does seems to be incredibly enjoyable and looks fun. She has two kids as well and you never hear her complain about "working hard" or justify spendy purchases. If you like something and can afford it, great, good for you. But don't insult the majority of your following by presenting yourself as some kind of super human who does this new phenomenon called "work" that none of us regular Joes would have a clue about.

In relation to Lorraine Haigney's piece on affiliate links, it's great she did the article but worrisome that she was worried about a backlash from it! And also, a lot of the comments I saw on the post itself were from people who were really thankful she had written it but who hadn't realised about this affiliate linking practice! Just goes to show how important it is that this practice is disclosed so people don't feel duped for whatever reason, I've bought through these links but only where the blogger has made it obvious. There is one particular curvy blogger who has started posting regularly on her Facebook with links to outfits she thinks her followers will like! Not that she has bought or anything, just ones she likes the look of and thinks we will too. All linked through rewardstyle. No disclosure (anywhere obvious anyway) that there will be a commission available to her if we buy through it... That kind of thing is incredibly misleading.

i must say thats the most annoying thing , when they say oh go to my blog to see where my top is from , like jesus come on and take 2 seconds out of your oh so hard working life to just say it !! its all business with these bloggers ! and im sorry jj harping on about being hard working ?? jesus christ , yesterdays work for her was to go to a kebab shop and eat a kebab?? theyre all lovely and dotey until you ask them a question they dont like !!

meant to post this a few days ago but think it was locked and just remembered....

do you know those disney shoes JJ, Rosie and a few others got weeks ago? Well Rosie showed them the other day again and had #ad this time! None of the bloggers had #ad previously while showing the shoes etc. It was carries closet that sent them out. This shop sends out a lot of "freebies", which they dont get paid for. But found it interesting that Rosie did actually #ad it! So money obviously changed hands.

Rosie had Ad on them the first time she showed them too. I remember because JJ put a snap up of them the same day with no #ad on snap chat. She was raving about them. Both have ad on instagram. People seem to think snap chat don't count.

JJ #ad three posts on the shoes back in December when they all got them that week. Found it strange she # them and can't seem to do it for much else ever lol. Rosie didn't #ad them when she got them. Also MRS makeup has a good few posts with Cari's Closet shoes and clothes in but doesn't ever #ad, maybe she isn't being paid by them but seems strange as a good bit of her insta feed are posts about the brand.

I'm glad this thread is around and active (thousands of viewers which is great exposure and a sit up and listen to the offenders lol) because clearly companies and the bloggers themselves (or their friends/family tell them about whats discussed on here) are reading and catching onto the fact a lot of their followers don't have the wool pulled over our eyes like they'd like us to have. I get they're trying to make a living etc I would never begrudge anyone however they make a living (within reason) and I do enjoy all their snaps most of the time but it's the misleading phrases, the condescending tones some speak to us with (on snapchat especially), just the overall way they put themselves on this pedestal of untouchable I'm an influencer you can't tell me what to do etc attitude, the fact they cant just say where they purchased an item and just say 'oh if you do want to purchase though you could use my link and I could make a tiny cut from it' like we know that happens so its the trying to make out like we don't thats frustrating. Anyways I'm just glad companies seem to be be clamping down too, the Centra event yday everyone #ad it even James K and Pippa who rarely ever #ad, the only person who didnt #ad was Amanda Brunker but perhaps she was just attending whereas James and Pippa were actually doing a photocall for the newspaper and probs other bits.

THe shoes were talked about in last thread! Someone had them # but can't remember who!! Aload of bloggers were sent fur gilets from Caris to but no #. I was thinking maybe because shoes were an ad those might be to?

Yes I noticed Rosie eventually #ad but just Jordan didn't she just spoke about how much she loved them very misleading

It's just so disappointing that just Jordan decided to take to snap chat to get annoyed about someone commenting on her buying a new bag.

Rather than explain to all the people who snapped asking her why she isn't #ad on any of her posts .. amazing how she chose to ignore them comments ..

There was an uncomfortable tone to what she said it's like the true personality popped out ..

I also found it an insult to say I work so hard I deserve it she snaps constantly and I don't see very hard work , watching them snaps just reminds of when she posted the snap with all

I agree Cria, it was snide the way she made the remarks about the person who messaged her about the bag. And tbh why did she feel the need to go on Snapchat anyways saying she got a new expensive bag and deserved it. It almost felt like she was gloating!

I thought it was pretty tacky of her to come on and rant and rave about it, gone off her so much lately, she used to be so forthcoming in sharing info with her followers, now all she does is direct you to her blog so she gets a cut. Of course she has a right to earn from blogging, but it seems she can't share ANYTHING without sending you to her blog. Such a shame as she was v different from the rest just a while ago, UNLESS of course she's always been doing shady promo and I'm only wising up to it now.

Which proves my point she's not relatable to her followers most of her followers are young girls and she's boasting about a €2000 bag .. what type of message is that it's all so superficial...

Don't get me wrong I'd buy myself a bag like that but wouldn't put it on social media .. what would be the purpose for her followers to be envious she's had 3 of them bags since xmas most people take a long time to earn €6000 and after paying bills can hardiy afford a penneys bag.
That constant promoting bloggers do must earn them a fortune and I bet half of them aren't taxed .. the revenue are being taken for fools in this country.

And none of us begrudge them earning money from their social media it's the dishonesty from the likes of grace and jj and pippa ect that turns us off them ..
jj has always promoted especially in the last year she's just flown under the radar ... if she works so hard but is not legally employed is she paying tax..

I also wonder if they are getting paid to go to these events. I had a look at Graces snaps and she was raving about how she was able to bring Sienna to work with her, work which involved going to an Urban Decay event and having lunch...

Tara Makeup is another one who had the shoes back then with no #ad. I wouldn't expect any better from her tho tbh. She's one of the infamous non-disclosure types. She insisted before on Instagram that she "always" discloses ads when someone pulled her up on it :rolleyes:

Find her to be one of the worst.

I think Love Lauren is so bad at #ad! Think shes very fake and knows how to play the game well.
Like she very very very rarely uses it on snap chat. She works with pennys a lot and only the odd time does she #ad the stuff, normally only when theres other bloggers involved in a group setting ( like the sports thing 2 weeks ago).

And shes in the hairdressers EVERY day getting her hair done and then her nails done. She always snaps where she is so without a doubt she gets it all for free. She was a walking ad for that mink salon last year. Every week without
fail.

Ya I have gone off Love Lauren lately, all she really does is post about how great her life is.

She comes across as being very sweet and nice though but I agree it's very fake

Used to love her.

Like I feel sorry for the people going to her masterclass this weekend. She literally got given Stilla products and tried it out on snapchat for the first time tonight! She said she wanted to try it tonight before using it on someone this weekend. It that not just ridiculous? Like the masterclasses are there to promote products, I get that. But its known products to her that she has experience using and uses them daily. How can she know about this Stilla product by putting it on her hand, and then quickly on her eyes with her fingers.

Just shows she is pushing Stilla for money I think. She has no proof that the product is any good. If I went and paid big money to hear her go on about products she has no concrete knowledge on I'd be raging. Its simply a first impression and shes going full steam with that. So unfair!

It's a joke. So much for asking a simple question. Blatant lies. I've screen shot the correspondence.
So basically all is well if you like, share and fawn on certain bloggers.
I have worked hours this week as s professional / I don't have the luxury of going around in pyjamas all day long. Yet I don't go around stating - I've worked so hard this week etc.
There's an opening for a news article on the fakeness some portray.

I've screenshot it before it was deleted. Not a trace of it now.
I can't block people in the real world - fantasy world is a different story though.
