You just can't make this stuff up. It's like he's 12 years old.

Nah, he'd just fire them as he has zero interest in the constitution.

    Is that the best Answer.

Are you saying there was another option for the office of the President to let the stand in attorney General remain ?

Godel was probably one of the greatest logicians ever. He apparently found a loophole in the constitution which would allow a dictator to take power.

However he never said what it was although there has been speculation. I doubt Trump or any of his cabinet are smart enough to figure this out.
That is why the 2nd amendment is vital and should never be replaced. The Founding Fathers put it in for a very good reason.

Why do you think she was grilled about if she would stand up to the President during her confirmation hearings?

Media was obsessed with Obama too.

It's pathetic, and I mean absolutely pathetic, that the President of the United States is so petty and self obsessed that he sends his Press Secretary out on stage in front of the media with print outs of the mean things said about him.

Even Bush didn't send out one of his Press Secretaries to complain about the mean things people said about him.

Entirely new level of social media hatred this time around. Hard to attack Obama as he was black so they kind of left him alone. Cos you would not want to be seen as a racist on campus would you.

Some things are fundamental to a country and the 2nd amendment is one. If Trump was to start overbearing his responsibilities, locking up journalists and limiting freedom of speech, then it is my opinion that the US citizens would be entitled to resist that by force if needs be.

But I seriously doubt it will come to that. I don't  see Trump writing into law the banning of free speech, right to assembly and banning guns. The first thing a dictator would do if they had any sense would be to get rid of the 2nd Amendment.

And Sean Spicer has been caught tweeting fake news. To be fair I don't think he knows what the onion is.

    Absolute trash.
Fox pushed the Birther narrative, Sean Hannity really loved to spread that nonsense around.
When he mentioned the ACA and the purpose of trying to get basic healthcare for all citizens they called him a communist.

Breitbart attacked him on a near daily basis.

    You're just saying nonsense now.

Drones ? Invading Pakistan. All let away. You are seriously claiming Barry did not get an extremely easy time from the media ? They were still gushing over him till the end. Did he stop torture ? Did he close Guantánamo ?

Love the use of Britbart as some kind of credibility.. Jesus. Who even reads that ?

Are you saying there was another option for the office of the President to let the stand in attorney General remain ?

The alternative option exists, you're just blind in your devotion. That option was spend time drafting a bill and putting it to relevant departments to find out if it was legal, constitutional and workable.
Not just signing whatever piece of paper Steve Bannon puts in front of you.

He was elected president, not emperor, he wasn't given a mandate to rule by decree and then remove anyone who dissents after the fact.

He's going to run the country like an authoritarian CEO who takes no advice until he's either reaches the end of this tenure or is impeached, whichever comes first.

It's as simple as that really.

At this stage, I don't think we can expect any diplomacy or compromise from him. It's just going to be clash after clash.

It will certainly make up for Sky ditching Eurosport:)

The citizens would lose horrifically if the military was not on their side. The amendment was made in a very different age when a loosely armed militia could stand up to an army. Now with increased military intellegence and weaponry (citizens can't really call on air support or many tanks). Any serious effort to organise would also likely be caught quickly.

All a dictator needs is the army and intellegence services on his side really and citizens won't be able to resist violently. I would leave the second amendment for quite a while if I thought it would give reassurances to the populace.

(Note: this is arguing against the point that the second amendment provides a serious defense against dictators, I am not saying that Trump is about to lock up journalists).

What are you on about I live in Ireland. Can you explain how these pieces of paper one is calling them are unconstitutional ? They have not been found to be yet. You do realise where those pieces of paper have to go ?
