Do they not have legislation in place to protect the rights of LGBT employees?

Can he really just overturn that with an EO if it is there?

I don't honestly know. He can issue an EO quite easily, without working through all the implications & ramifications (just as we've seen)

I actually don't think they do on a federal level.

Sexual orientation is not a protected class in the US unfortunately.
Gender is, but I don't know how it is enforced with relation to trans people. Some states have passed laws tying people to the gender of their birth certificates.

The Republicans will tell you that its better to scrap the federal regulations and leave such things up to each individual state.
Basically the same philosophy that has has enabled all kinds of discrimination down the years.

BS, Iran with bases that are training ISIS, pure lies.

Totally not a lie it's an alternative fact.

I always thought Iran was mostly Shiite and ISIS were a really messed up version of Sunni but sure every day is a school day.

He needs to leave LGBT rights alone. Even I will be critical of him on that. He is President Trump, not Lord Trump and should abide by the US Constitution. If he takes LGBT rights away and as much as I like some of his policies on Syria 90 day refugee ban, this would be a step too far.

The LGBT issue should be left alone now. No need to drag it back into the political arena. Leave them alone.

Spicer trying to use the Canadian mosque shootings as a reason for the muslim ban says it all about Trump's organisation. Alexandre Bissonnette, who has been charged with six counts of murder now, was involved in anti-immigration groups and in all likelihood, would be a major Trump supporter.

If he signs anti LGBT legislation, the clown won't even last another month in office. Even his own supporters will turn on him.

Your comment on wishing supporters families die is disgusting btw.

The scary thing is that this guys analysis is actually becoming more and more plausible as the days go by.

    https://medium.com/@yonatanzunger/trial-balloon-for-a-coup-e024990891d5#.dmw0zaxqy

I particularly found this bit interesting.
    6) Finally, I want to highlight a story that many people haven’t noticed. On Wednesday, Reuters reported (in great detail) how 19.5% of Rosneft, Russia’s state oil company, has been sold to parties unknown. This was done through a dizzying array of shell companies, so that the most that can be said with certainty now is that the money “paying” for it was originally loaned out to the shell layers by VTB (the government’s official bank), even though it’s highly unclear who, if anyone, would be paying that loan back; and the recipients have been traced as far as some Cayman Islands shell companies.

Why is this interesting? Because the much-maligned Steele Dossier (the one with the golden showers in it) included the statement that Putin had offered Trump 19% of Rosneft if he became president and removed sanctions. The reason this is so interesting is that the dossier said this in July, and the sale didn’t happen until early December. And 19.5% sounds an awful lot like “19% plus a brokerage commission.”

Spicer's a disgrace. He killed his credibility on the first day and has gotten worse since.

I reckon this administration will go through press secretaries like Spinal Tap drummers.

That was an interesting read. Given he has to work on incomplete facts, his progression is well-thought out. It's definitely worst-case scenario, but the evidence so far isn't exactly reassuring.

Let's face it though, the current press secretary role doesn't need credibility. Trump does most of his informing of the press (and the public, and his advisors) through Twitter. Spicer's basically a pundit with a podium.

Fair point, it's probably an insult to be appointed press secretary, given the disdain that administration have for the press.

The thing is I doubt Trump is driving this (if true). It bears all the hallmarks of Pence and the evangelical Christian conservative wing of the Republican party.

I've said it before, Trump is massively compromised, both financially and politically. He'll be kept in that position until either a) Putin or b) the Christian right nut jobs have no further use for him.

Just my opinion but it'd be great if people stopped paying attention to Sean Spicer, Kellyanne and Donald when he's talking **** or acting the clown.

I don't say this just because they're propagandists and liars, but they're only there as a distraction. They're a walking, talking smokescreen.

The 'migrant ban' (I don't call it a muslim ban as it doesn't mention religion, there are non-muslims being affected, and supporters will just use it as an excuse to justify it) is the same as all the other dumb **** he's signing. It too is a distraction.

Read the Reuters article on Rosneft's sale (one of the largest in post-communist Russian history), it's a cover-up and the official explanation doesn't even come close to adding up. The only thing that looks remotely true is that Steele's dossier mentioned 19% being given to Trump, and the deal is 19.5%- the .5% likely a good-will gesture or a 'broker fee', as mentioned above.

Readthe timeline of how the whole Putin-Trump alliance started, why it exists, how it exists. See how Page's interactions with Russia, Wikileaks, the FSB agent being murdered all add up in chronological order.

Although difficult, I've stopped listening to the noise. I don't listen to Spicer or Conway, and I try to limit Donald exposure when he's talking bollocks.

These people are smart, and together they're fooling the public to get what they want- Money, power or even a fascist utopia for some like Bannon.

Try to avoid listening to the nonsense.

He wrote this one before the Muslim ban it seems? It reads so much like a Bannon & Co roadmap it's eerie.

It is tough to take that further without proof. Sometimes you have to get them on the bollocks. Like take vision for Capone. I hope some serious proof does arise if he is involved in with the Ruskies but until then this is the best way to stop him. Granted the Russian involvement should not be forgotten about at any point so no harm in it being brought up.

Well if his 'side-acts' eventually cause his demise I won't be annoyed, but he'll still be $10bn richer from those Rosneft shares.

I guess my point is that, while everyone seems to be losing their minds on the stuff on the front pages of newspapers, he and his team are even dirtier than what we see.

The Russian story is far, far, far bigger than Russia just hacking the DNC and Donald pissing on some hookers.
