Voter suppression referenced targets voters of colour, not candidates of colour.
I don't know what contortions you're pulling to frame it as though anyone said it did, but I understand that it's easier for you to defeat as an argument.

Without ID how do they have electricity, Gas, Bank account, Insurance, A gun, Access to education.. I could go on.

Just plain stupid. Some racist writes drivel. Trump does not even read it, signs it. It is implemented on a Saturday when no OPPOSITION to this are even working or if they are, they will just sign it as they want to get back home ASAP. Trump should sack his stupid advisors and distance himself bigtime from racist elements, the Republican party should clean up its act and cleanse itself of KKK sleaze and the American people especially of minorities should demand an inclusive and mature government not a lazy, incompetent, racist and bickering buffoon regime advised by unintelligent morons.

    Burning mosques or banning Americans?

Well in all fairness Trump followers burned down a historic black church last year just before the election , spray painted "vote Trump" on it ,and it was considered a hate crime.......

No hold on, it was actually a Black parishioner that burned it down..... sorry , my bad.

    Hate crime debunked

Trump should sack his stupid, moronic advisors and he better do so before he digs himself into a deeper hole. The KKK are leading the world into another stupid war over oil against the few remaining relatively stable countries in the Middle East like Iran. Trump is the president of America but acts instead as a stooge for very dangerous people. People should DEMAND Trump to act against those who control him. Or else, the world is headed this way:

I'm due to go to the US sometime in the near future with an Indian work colleague, and after today's events, I'm beginning to think that we (well him specifically) may experience some difficulty getting in there.

Someone taking the ban too seriously

    http://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory/texas-mosque-destroyed-early-morning-blaze-unknown-45111202

Also, reports that Iran has returned the favour and banned Americans.

I'm actually surprised they haven't done so before Trump won the election. You know, Islamic Revolution of 1979 and all that craic.

I remember my first day if school. The flap on my leather satchel freshly creased from when I put my copy books in there the night before. Patent leather shoes and an itch lying green wool jumper, hours of fun the week before with my elasticated neck-tie. I hadn't slept a wink the night before. Jam sandwiches and a capri sun for me, a freshly polished apple for my teacher.
Mother sobbed as she left me at the door a mumbled a feeble "I'm so proud if you Trentiford" and "Don't forget your passport or they won't give a four year old an education".

The only thing listed that requires a photo id is a bank account and it isn't considered a basic human right in a democratic Republic where universal suffer age is alleged to exist.
Many people don't have bank accounts.

Would the US immigration service know he was Indian?
My concern is that he may be given a hard time before he can prove he's Indian and not from one of th e"banned" countries, he looks the same as someone from Iran.

    Why?

You are aware that India has not been designated a high risk state?

On a personal level I do feel sorry for people who had been promised they were going to get in, and Trump should override the policy for people who assisted US forces, but let's be realistic about it. Look at the utter state of mainland Europe now. The lone wolf attacks, the foiled ISIS plots involving Syrians, the rapes. We are in 2017 and the first reaction of a parent when their daughter tells them they are off to mainland Europe on holiday is to worry about whether they will be the victim of a rape or a terror attack.

Donald Trump is the only Western leader who gives a toss about his people.

Merkel couldn't give a toss about Germans.
Mark Rutte of Holland is the same. Merkel and Rutte made half hearted gutless statements demanding migrants assimilate only when they started to worry about losing popularity.
Frances Fitzgerald couldn't care less about Irish people. The AAA and PBP only care about the Irish scroungers who vote for them, they despise the rest of us.
Justin Treadeau is arguably the worst of the lot. From openly stating he wouldn't order a military retaliation if ISIS attacked Canadian interests to stating that revoking the citizenship of terrorism tied Canadians devalues the citizenship of every Canadian. What a disgrace of a human.

4 year olds have passports ? No matter how people try to spin this. Asking for ID in any situation is not Racist. Not wanting to bother getting ID is their own fault.

You think a multi-billionaire who inherited almost everything he owns gives a **** about millions of Americans living in poverty? A man who screwed over countless amounts of builders and contractors among many, many other people during his business career? Give me a ****ing break.

I won't comment on the others, but Merkel not giving a toss about her own people? Wtf are you on about. Merkel's criticised over here because she cares too much about the poor and needy, both foreign and domestic.

    You haven't a donkey's what you're on about.

The airport employees, police, army, etc. do not have to obey laws poorly written by racist buffoons, not even read by a weak president and with a government not even around to debate it. This is not 'law'. It should be:

    1. Read (not just signed) by the president.
    2. Debated on a weekday in parliament and not rushed through on a Saturday when Trump and the few who read it signed it 'to get rid of it' so as to return to their loved ones.
    3. Written by proper people not these KKK advisors. It is truly sad that each Republican president of the last 15 years (2 of them to be precise!) has had KKK advisors.
    4. Tore up and those KKK advisors sacked and sent to prison where they belong.

    Yes they do.

And what's with the fixation on the KKK ?

There's two types of discrimination, direct and indirect. Direct discriminatory policies are obvious. Like "No blacks allowed". Indirect ones are not obvious. They are judged based on their effect as opposed to their goal. In the case of ID in America, minorities have been shown to have a lower chance of having ID. Therefore the effect of the policy is harder on minorities so it is discriminatory.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,378 ✭✭✭BuilderPlumber

    Yes they do.

And what's with the fixation on the KKK ?

No one has to obey orders from a poor regime with very poor policies. The KKK mentality is everywhere in the current Republican Party advisers. It is plain as day to see this.

A great deal of those Americans are living in poverty out of their own refusal to work. There are housing projects in Chicago with 90 percent plus unemployment rates, families that haven't had an employed member in 50 years, yet thousands of Mexicans with minimal language skills and no papers work in that very city (and before you ask, it is only the Mexicans with a criminal record that Trump is looking to track down)
I won't comment on the others, but Merkel not giving a toss about her own people? Wtf are you on about. Merkel's criticised over here because she cares too much about the poor and needy, both foreign and domestic.

The poor and needy? In Merkel's Germany people are being turfed out of social housing to make way for the newcomers.

What has she done about the Cologne rapes? Some of those caught have received suspended sentences and are still in the country. She's a miserable old childless witch that couldn't give a toss about her people.

They will give up protesting soon enough. He is going to be President for the next 4 years before another election. They will have to get used to it. The American people voted him to be President.

Not necessarily, there is a very good chance that he will face an impeachment before his presidency is through. I don't think people will cease to protest if his administration continues going in its current direction.
