That is just silly. People have too low a bar on Trump, it is going to just make anything he does much greater than might be.

I see you deliberately didn't answer the question because you know the answer proves you were wrong. Fair enough, to be expected really.
It was a silly question, beyond belief actually.

Trump has been fantastic in this speech!

He keeps saying he can't release his tax returns because he's being audited. I thought that didn't make a difference. They can be released even if he is being audited.

The IRS already said he's full of crap when he says that.

Not sure why I watched this press conference. I don't believe anything he is saying.

Nope, you said Trump could do "implement anything he wants". But you know he can't, it's as simple as that.

I just told you the GOP has control. The GOP is NOT going to turn against Trump now the party has power. Are people really that deluded or naive?

    Trump

    "I think it was Russia".

Massive 180 from laughing and insulting the intellegence services to admitting they were right and he was wrong. Implying also that he was an idiot for dismissing the possibility out of hand at the start.

So I'll ask again - if Trump wanted to give Putin an official role with power in the US government, would the GOP support it? You don't want to answer this one for obvious reasons, namely it proves your "Trump can implement anything he wants" claim completely incorrect.

He had to step aside to have his lawyer read out a message.
In his first big press conference.

    Baffling.
And intiguing, with regards to the last few days...

Nope, not having that. He knew exactly who he was insulting, knew exactly what his handicap was and even raised up his hand in order to mock him and his handicap.

lol. You didn't even watch the video.

You know how I know? Cause your post was made just 3 minutes after mine and so even if you clicked play as soon as I posted it you wouldn't have been able to watch an almost 5 min clip. You just want to believe it's true.

Now go back and watch the video and you will see that at 3m 20s into it he mocks people and ALSO raises his hand in the same manner which he did when mocking the journalist.

He literally said he won't release his tax returns because he won.
Basically, he doesn't want to and doesn't give a **** what people think.

    Should he?

    Should he?

Don't you want to know if the President-elect is hiding anything regarding his finances, donations,... ?

Would you have been fine if Hillary had won if she said the same ?

    Should he?

Not if he wants to avoid more embarrassment

Yep, here you go again avoiding the question because you know it's incorrect. So we are in agreement, Trump cannot do whatever he wants.

It's pretty damning that he isn't realising his finances. Also interesting he rolled out the lawyers at his first press conference in six months. It's almost like he was using their presence as an intimidation of the journalists there.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,839 ✭✭✭Jelle1880

He's still deflecting to Hillary hahahaha

    The Yanks are ****ed.

edit: Those cheers were pre-recorded too, right ? Unless journalists would cheer him when he comes on ? :pac:

Are you aware that you're beloved Trump has accepted that the Russians hacked the DNC to influence the election?

Yeah he basically lied to that reporters face when she pointed out that there was nothing stopping him releasing them during this supposed "audit".

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,138 ✭✭✭✭Cienciano

He keeps saying he can't release his tax returns because he's being audited. I thought that didn't make a difference. They can be released even if he is being audited.

Lots of people have come out and said he can release them no problem. And if he doesn't want to release his tax returns that are being audited, he can release the ones from before the audit. Current audit is from 2012 onwards, so he can release before that.

That entire conference was something else...

What a cluster****. Compare to Obama's speech yesterday.

Even George W Bush was well-spoken compared to this guy.

edit: A while back he let slip that he's not even being audited.
