So I've watched all of The Defiant Ones.

Some quick thoughts; (without giving away much)

Suge is a pure bastard, and he exploited 2pac for his own ****ed up gain

The part on DOC is kind of heartbreaking

I'm glad they discussed Dee Barnes

Dr. Dre seems to hold alot of pain. All the money in the world can't help you with those types of issues.

Even if you don't listen to Hip-Hop / Rap this is just great TV. Learned alot about Jimmy and had not realized how many bands he help produce. He's ruthless in a good way but he never got in the way of artists.

The Defiant Ones is excellent. Started watching the first episode ended up watching it all in one sitting. Turned off that NWA movie halfway through garbage story compared to the real thing.

The movie is still really enjoyable to be honest but it has gaps.
The Defiant Ones filled them in a way, so to speak.

MC Dubh is back and it's more entertaining than I could have hoped!

I was hoping something about this vid would be posted, I'm originally from Waterford and it's terrifying how deluded Dubh is despite the fact he's a punchline to 100 untold jokes.

MF DOOM is essentially releasing an album song by song over the next 15 weeks.

The first one is on this page -> http://www.highsnobiety.com/2017/08/07/doom-the-missing-notebook-rhymes/

Sean Price featured and he is f*cking awesome on it.

On the subject of P!, his last album Imperious Rex is now streaming, haven't listened but well looking forward to it.

Wasn't there an Irish hip hop thread? The big news today is Dudewithswag's YT channel got removed by the Gardai. Some complaint about the threats in his Donald Trump diss.

I've no idea who Dudewithswag is. Is that a good thing or a bad thing?

I've listened to Imperious Rex and smiled the whole way through.
It's everything I've wanted from a P! album ever. My critique of his last few albums are that the beat choices have not been right. Sean P has always had bars, but he needs help from a decent beat.
On this album, the bars are still solid as ever but the beat choices are brilliant. So it works very well.
Another thing I love about it, short songs, I think there are 3 songs that go over 4 minutes.
There's also a really funny skit on it where he is slagging Duck Down.

I'd recommend giving this a listen for some head nodding.....not for chin scratching.

Google has a doodle celebrating 44 years since the birth of Hip Hop. You can mix and scratch a lot of popular breaks, it's quite fun.

New Grieves album is streaming on UTube:

I'm pretty excited to listen to this one, he sounds like he is going more musical now which suits him very well.

Wasn't particularly crazy about the singles off Blue Chips 7000 so approached this with some trepidation but the rest of it's much better ironically. Gloriously buttery but silly beats. Raps sound pretty fresh as well I felt on the last couple of releases he was sort of repeating himself but he's mostly found new ways to talk about his dick, smoking weed and his dick.

This sounds way less polished than Mr Wonderful and sounds alot more like the first Blue Chips and Dr Lector. I'm digging the album although I haven't listened to it fully yet.

Braniac by Mr Motherf*ckin Exquire is a must listed btw, it's a return to form for him.

I need to listen to the new Wiki album later today as well.
