It was lovely, very very child friendly which would have horrified me a few years ago, but suited with the toddler. The hotel included breakfast and a 4 course meal each day. I wouldn't do it again. It was just too much food and i definitely feel the worse for it.

In saying that I had a bag of chips for tea today. followed by a chocolate chip cookie. The road to hell (and fat) is paved with good intentions (and salad).

    On the road again today.

If there's anyone here from a certain part of Wicklow, then you will appreciate my absolute delight at spotting a "Henry & Rose" joint. It's been a very long time.:D I turned down a hotel dinner in favor of a batter sausage, onion rings and chips. Salt and vinegar everywhere and eaten on a picnic bench nearby in glorious sunshine.

That reminds me of when my son was in national school he came home one day with a tiny tiny tomato plant attached to a straw in a tiny little plant pot..I've never grown anything but this thing took on a life of its own and I actually transferred it into a bigger pot and put it in the patio,no tlc was given aside from a drop of water when I remembered it.

I'll never forget the tomatoes it yielded,a huge amount and absolutely delicious.

This is my one and only garden related story 😭

Decided to go down and dirty today at lunchtime.:D Popped into Supermacs for a southern fried chicken breast and chips. The hunger was upon me after skipping breakfast. I was told it was cheaper to buy TWO chicken breasts as part of a meal deal. (I'm not a regular:D) I only want one, I said. The lovely lady behind the counter suggested I take it home with me as they had only been cooked. You can have it later or gift it she said. I was sold. She wrapped it separately and that's supper sorted.;) No grumpy staff in this Suermacs on a hot day. She was great.

In case the health and safety crew weigh in, it has been allowed cool, sealed in a container and now refrigerated. Woo Hoo!

    A mixed grill with spuds.

As I ended up out for a few jars last night, the Sunday night Twirl and Aero are now for a Monday treat.

Ah stop, I'm blushing.:o Seriously though Tara, food should be fun. I love cooking and eating out at any level. I've made crap meals, eaten crap takeaways/restaurant/deli stuff, but at the end of the day, I love describing my experiences when I can, good and bad. Today that lady in Supermacs was under fierce pressure on a hot day and she sent me on my way with a big smile on my face. Now the reheated Chicken Breast may taste ****e, but who cares.:D

    Another mini bounty knock off.

    Cup of peppermint tea.

A blueberry muffin and travel mug full of coffee for breakfast this morning in work before shift starts.

I seem to think eating a chocolate croissant/muffin every single morning for breakfast is acceptable :V
