Overcast here with a freshening breeze. Not a drop of water so far and looking like Sunday now before it comes. I've never had so little grass this day of the year and no sign of a surplus coming in the near future.

Another lovely day here , there's hardly even any clouds yet

Raining in east Clare now. Spread fertiliser today, so right on cue.

Raining nicely here since 2. Not too heavy which is ideal. Got the last of the silage bales in before it started

Nice bit of rain for last few hours, can nearly see the grass growing!.....the key will be that God remembers to turn back off the tap sooner rather than later.

Going by the rainfall radar there should be rain falling here with the last hour. No sign of any moisture yet though.

Just started 5 minutes ago but clearing off as I type. There's more coming tonight but looks like the heaviest will miss here. Again:(

At long last. Nice soft rain falling straight down. In honour of the event I'm singing this

There's lads on heavy ground here looking for rain. It's funny when lads who would go into shock if they saw a cloud are looking for rain now:)

Rained a lot here today in east Clare. Nearly an inch, I'd say. Right that's enough now for another week.

Here's another catchy tune and lyrics.
    "I'm bringing home the rain".:)

Ye lads in the southwest are going to get enough rain now before this system has finished with us.

Looks like Dawg was right. The default weather for this country is rain.

Still better than being short of fodder though.

Lovely light rain here in Limerick. If it keeps like this over the next few days, we'll get a right burst of grass.

A lot of rain has fell here north east galway since yesterday evening, very heavy for a couple of hours earlier on today. Can already see life coming back into the grass rain was badly needed but now its time for it to leave again but going by forecast its here for another week at least.
