sorry for the delay guys my internet crapped itself mid download lastnight , it seems to be ok today but a bit slow .

anyway i got stuck into re-upholstering the seat using a great kit that the owner got from england , its going to be a great addition to the tractor and it is the nearest thing to the original and a hell of a lot better than the other one we got done .

few updates again guys , we are slightly held up with a few vendors at the moment ,

i left the windscreen frame in to be glazed and i have a few bits left with our engineer but he is away on hols at the minute !!

the electrician ran into a family problem so he wont be back to finish wiring till saturday at the earliest .

still we will batter on regardless ,

so we have the mirror glass in the backs and rubbers fitted and we also cut some rubber strips to seal up both sides of the cab where it meets the mudguard extensions , the anti vibration rubbers for the bonnet and the front grille also came from mackeys so we got those fitted .

i got new plugs and leads for the back of the headlights also .

we got the roof pod ready with all the switches using a handy diagram provided by the owner ,
we had to modify it slightly as the switches wouldn't clear the wiper motor , it should be fine now though ,
there are little led lights for the beacon and indicators in the black grommets .

the owner brought down the very sought after / impossible to get MF industrial badge for the front of the tractor , i think its cool the way its shaped like a front bucket of a loading shovel , there is a slightly larger backing plate to go behind it to really make the badge stand out before its mounted , i have the measurements with the engineer and hes going to make it of aluminum for us .

we got some other small finishing bits like the steering column rubber and a new chrome nut for atop the steering wheel .
the owner had this led beacon for the roof also .

the roof had a dirty great hole in it so we got the fiber glass kit out and patched it up ready for a stainless plate to mount the beacon to , there was a small hole starting to appear on one corner also so that got a rub as well !

Probably rude to ask but anyone care to put a value on this tractor when done. It will be off the scale. You really cannot buy such a thing anywhere.

You'd have to factor the price of a second tractor that you would be able to use and get dirty... This is more of a machine to park in a shed, and just drool over

Ya i agree. Fantastic thing to have though.

helooooo , its me again !!

had another day in the workshop , the electrician was back for a few hours and i spent a good part of the morning going around gathering even more bits and pieces ,

i spent the remainder of the day of the glazing the front and back windows .

but first i was finishing of the back end area , the owner got a neat spring to stop the lift arms from swinging and hitting of the inside of the tyres but eliminates the use of a nine hole bar thus leaving the lift arms free for use , i had to weld on two lugs and get them painted prior to fitting it !!

hopefully thats the rear end done now ........

our go to man for tricky stuff made a great " backing plate " for the MF badge out of 3mm aluminum ( to fend off the rust !! ) ,
its going to look well when its all mounted on the grille .

so then it was on to the back window , i got all new rubbers and it was a bit of a nightmare to fit but we got it eventually .

i put it on the tractor to see how it looked .

then i fitted some new edge beading to all the sharp edges on the window and around it to finish it all off .

the front windscreen was a real barsteward to piece together , i started off having to drill and tap a load of 4mm bolts that had sheared off during removal , fiddly slow job but it worked out well in the end .
