Well if hit the flag he was obviously out of play. Cost Munster 3 points and no mention of it on Sky.

How do you work that out?

If the ball or a player carrying the ball touches a flag or a flag (corner) post at the intersection of the touch-in-goal lines and the goal lines or at the intersection of the touch-in-goal lines and the dead ball lines without otherwise being in touch or touch-in-goal the ball is not out of play unless it is first grounded against a flag post.

The poster was making the point that the flag on its own is no longer used to determine whether or not a player is in touch, so hitting the flag as Nacewa did is irrelevant.

D'Arcy completely ignoring Robson's "jokes" in the commentary booth.
I wish we could all do that.

But was also over the line and out of play when he released the ball. Look at it again. Only question is weather he released it after he crossed the the touch line or the in goal area.

That was soo cynical by Toner.

That was soo cynical bt Toner.

Holland did the same 10 minutes ago and Munster got a scrum out of it

Munster are playing a good game plan. Its just the silly unforced turnovers are killers.

It doesn't matter unless he was grounded. If he was on top of Zebo he was not unless an arm or leg was.

Well then make that point, though while he was over the line, he was on top of another player as well, so unless some part of him was touching the ground on or past the line (and perhaps his foot was in slow motion, but his torso was not in touch until it hit the ground) then he and the ball were still in play.

Wonderful kick through by Sexton, has to be said

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,599 ✭✭✭ScrubsfanChris

Why is it not a 22 drop out?

  • Registered Users Posts: 16,949 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

Mistake aside Ringrose has been excellent.

I don't know if there's better acoustics at the Aviva or what but I can hear so much more of what the players are saying today. Loving the "aaaarrgggghhhhhhhhh" coming from the scrums :)

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,968 ✭✭✭leakyboots

WTF were we doing running from our own line
