They seem to be pushing a new journalist Louise Cantillon a lot the last few weeks

I didn't even try too hard. These are very prominent irish columnists and they are certainly not voices of the left. If we're going to say the media is left-leaning can we have some evidence? We've got the Daily Mail, that bastion of socialism of course ..

The daily mail has an Irish edition but our edition has a relatively minor paper in terms of influence or readership, David quinn and breda o Brien are not very prominent and both are social conservatives, they have no real economic views

What are the chances the leader will have a story with some Limerick connection to the Notre Dame fire by the weekend? :pac: “UL student caught up in Notre Dame inferno” or the like.

Okay, nobody witnessed Notre Dame but a Limerick man did see a plane crash in Moscow.

It's a microcosm of the pathetic state of the media in Ireland today.

    Zero investigative reporting.

    PR puff pieces

A "don't rock the boat" mentality

Your daily dose of tripe for the "man on the street"

    ****e

Reporting Ireland's only booze free bar is open in Bruff.

Maybe they should do a Google search on their stories before they print them

    Ireland’s first*

They did mention in the article that there is one opening in Dublin. It opened yesterday and will probably last a lot longer than the one in Bruff of all places!

Ok, this is worthy of an article but that title is v poor.

‘New immersive experience in top tourist attraction near Limerick‘

Jesus they fall over each other inside in that rag to write about the Limerick hurlers. Jerome O'Connell beating his meat to them every few days with opinion pieces.

They've got corrupt gardai and corrupt politicians to be investigating and they cover this nonsense?

No mention of the 2 female paramedics who required garda assistance yesterday when attending a call at a non national supermarket on Henry St

Keep publishing stories about holy statues, dogs on buses and 3 week old exclusives.

    Great job Limerick Leader.

    Any more information on this?

My understanding is they were unwelcome based on gender and there was an altercation where gardai assistance was requested

Not sure if same shop is owned by the candidate complaining on the leader today or if there are more than one.

Interesting to see he didn't mention it when he said he wanted to represent all the citizens of the city

An alternative gender entered a religious shop?

2 female paramedics entered a Muslim store and they were either not welcome as they were female or injured party refused treatment from females.

That is absolutely unacceptable, this is Ireland not Iraq. Hope the Gardaí are following up on this, the Leader should get off their holes as well and dig in to it
