I would love the internet meltdown if Charlotte came back and ended another Sasha reign after 1 month.

Meltdown ? I'd love to see it. I'd raise a toast to charlotte if that happened. Hardly a ringing endorsement of Sasha banks that she'll get a title run longer than a month in the middle of a pandemic.

Becky won't be back by next Wrestlemania, not a hope. Then again why would she want to come back? What's she got left to prove? Her biggest challenge lies ahead.

    She's gone out on top.

The third hour of Raw did 1.463 million, a new all time low. Not great from the gold standards flagship show.

At this stage is Raw at risk of being cancelled. The only grace saving them is there’s very little tv being produced due to Rona. Pretty soon Raw might be the only live tv left in the states that isn’t news.

I doubt she's strapped for cash to be honest.

As for your 2nd part of your reply, that could go any which way :pac:......

NBA returns next week too. Odds on RAW dropping further?

I hope Asuka now goes after Bayley with a vengeance for what she did to Kairi.
Would like to see Asuka just stalking her like a terminator and Bayley running scared every time and not being as loudmouthed.
Fun and shouty Asuka to psycho Asuka

The WWE's biggest viewership across all 3 shows is the over 50's not creating a younger audience is not going to be good for the longer term health of the company as TV money will start to drop dramatically when these current contracts end.

    I blame Nia.
I would be curious what the figures would be like if they had a full roster.
The problem is since they're mostly using the newer/younger guys they'll get the blame for not drawing instead of the writing.

Not a good look for Drew closing the show every week and the numbers dropping off a cliff.

Who the hell wants to hang around watching 3 hours of that.

When I see a two hour edit without ads even that feels to long.

I know USA network are the reason behind the third hour but I can see them going back to two hours because the third hour is where ratings go to die. Smackdown is two hours and is holding steady. Three hours is too much to write good TV for. Also the ppvs are now 2 1/2 hours to three hours long and that's backwards.

Not going to happen. WWE is the only thing USA has that gets high demo numbers. For the money they pay there's not a chance of them giving up the 3rd hour.

Nearly 15 years of no star creation is coming home to roost. We can't keep having the same conversation every week but the numbers don't lie and their viewership and demo numbers are in the toilet, they've been bleeding viewers for years but primarily it's young people who have no interest in watching it. And the NBA is next week too...

Drew did defend against Lashley and Big Show too, but both matches were completely forgettable as was his Reign will be.

Bayley and Sasha are just so boring. Do absolutely nothing for the product or creating new starts. At this stage the 4 horsewomen needs to move aside completely and let others shine or there wont be a division.

Orton and Drew while yes will be a good match and good build it was obvious as hell that's who Drew's Summerslam's opponent would be as they've no other top tier start to go up against.

Look at Drew's previous title defenses....

Big Show - Should have retired YEARS ago... non-relevant
Lashley - King of the Mid-carders...
Ziggy Zig Ziggler - An absolutely embarrassment.. the never will pull the trigger on Ziggy to the point you know he is never a threat to the top guys.

Where is WWE next megastar coming from? Eye poke Rollins? Been there done that. Alistair Black? So stuck in midcard I feel like gouging my own eyes out rather than watch his boring promos and matches.

Sure they bring back Ali last week to job him to the king of the mid-carders this week.

Remember when in wCw when Saturn, Malenko, Eddie and Benoit all felt under-utilized.... oh hello Rick O'Shea, Cedre Alexander and Ali....

It's clear as day 2 things are killing WWE, they've made no new stars.... and the writers have thrown in the towel.

Orton is the best heel in the buisness and has been on fire this year. Yes every dog on the street knew he would face Drew at Summerslam but so bloody what as long as its entertaining and exciting. If anything this feud will get Drew more over and produce a series of fantastic matches.

Dont get the buzz about Ali or Alexander. Their promos are dog **** and they scream vanilla. Also they are way undersized to be in the upper card.

Bayley and Sasha have more charisma and talent then most of the women's division at present.

Asuka has become a goof who shouts and they way she was handed the title really made her seem like a nobody. She needs a complete change of her gimmick.

Would actually rather Alexa Bliss to get back in the title picture. She's a great promo and a decent worker.

The three hours of Raw has to end soon. Its far too much wrestling for a weekly show. Two hours is more than enough.

Jesus if the WWE demo numbers are high then what other ****e is USA network putting out ?

Well then if USA aren't giving up that third hour then Pritchard and that alleged creative team under his command need to extract those digits from their holes and do better wrestling TV. Also, Sasha banks is instant channel changer for me but apparently vince or Bruce or both think she's a draw when she never was and isn't now clearly.

Randy Orton is money when he wants to and I don't blame him for being less than motivated when you look at this crap.

Hopefully Kairi ends up back in Stardom.

I haven't been keeping up - Is there any injury, or WWE not happy with her performance/she a bit fed up or...?

Seems like it’s more of a going back home I think she is just newly married with husband back in Japan.

Meant to say, what was up with the cameras during that tag match?! Was nearly sick watching it. So much zooming and changing going on. Was like everyone had to have equal time so it was showing the profits, back to the ring, to the outside, to the profits all within 5 seconds or less

How long before Vince calls in Austin, Rock, Cena, Foley, HHH & Michaels to get the nostalgia ratings boost to pull in a few more over 50's

Kairi was a solid hand and her run with the titles with Asuka was decent.

But in all honesty I dont think she is a big loss. Japanese wrestlers with poor English just cant get over in America. Never have and never will.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,211 ✭✭✭LineOfBeauty

It's just over a year that a card where 3 of the 4 wrestlers in the top two matches were Japanese that sold out Madison Square Garden...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 61,272 ✭✭✭✭Agent Coulson

Kairi is one of top wrestlers in the world male or female and is a huge lose to any Fed is is attached to.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 11,348 ✭✭✭✭ricero

No doubt about it shes a loss in terms of her in-ring work and name value in Asia.

But she was never gonna main event a Wrestlemania like a Becky Lynch, Charlotte or Ronda. Unfortuantely the language barrier will always hold these Japanese performers back in the big leagues.
