Telegraph are saying confirmed that Jamie Roberts is NOT in the squad

They're saying no Earls or D. Ryan, Payne will be named in the centre

Oh dear, poor auld Flang went off the reservation for nothing in the end.

Wouldn't have denied either a place in the squad but they would have been a surprise inclusion all the same.

Well deserved if true, been one of the best centers in the NH for awhile.

Lads I really hope the quality of our rugby this summer is better than the quality of this speculation

Agree on Payne, was really surprised he didnt feature in the debate from any quarter. Hogg and a couple of makeshift 15s was never going to be enough for a tour like this, Payne is ideal. Being a Kiwi is no harm either, hope hes ready for the stick he'll get!

Thing is, given the injuries that will occur between no and season's end and at the early point on the tour, there's bound to be a good few replacements called up. I wish they'd just publish a reserve list too

To be fair Earls is not up to the standard of wing for a lions tour and there are better second rows than Ryan out there to be picked

Well, here's what I called 10 days ago....lets see if I'm as thick as we all reckon:

    Hookers: Best, Owens, Hartley
Props, McGrath, Healy, Furlong, Vunipola, Sinckler, Cole (I think we might well see a left field pick here though, don't rule out someone like John Ryan who can cover both sides).
Locks: Itoje, Henderson, Launchbury, AWJ, Johnny Gray
Back row: Vunipola, Warburton, Tipuric, Stander, SOB, Faletau, POM (straight call between POM and Moriarty for last spot)
    Scrum half: Murray, Webb, Youngs
    Outhalf: Sexton, Farrell, Carbery
    Centre: Henshaw, Joseph, Davies, Payne
Wingers: Watson, North, Liam Williams, Daly
    Full Back: Hogg, Halfpenny

I'd be pretty happy with anything above 30!

Who is over rated or out of form with that back row? Both Faletau and Vuinipola have shown good form since returning from injuries including MoM displays for their clubs.

All the rest of the back rows had good to excellent six nations and continued their form after.
    ??? Who?

I honestly think Warburton is overrated, he's a good player but I don't think he deserves the standing he has. Tipuric looks like a world beater some days but flatters to deceive others. SOB's form has slipped this season.

POM's stock improved immeasurably after a couple of lineout steals against England. Faletau has been playing pretty average for a couple of seasons now.

    Other than that no complaints:D

There's not many guys there that I'd trust to consistently deliver against top class opposition.
