There's an El Al cargo 747 due in on 28th January. The times are not great for viewing I'm afraid.

Arriving at 2210 and departing at 0040.

EI-XLC Boeing 747 ex Transaero in Dublin at the moment being painted for new operator Rossiya Airlines.

So that explains that. I used to see it parked up near the tower going past on the bus. It was there for ages.

There was actually 2 together at one stage, the 1 parked out in the open for weeks & 1 that emerged from the hangar after a respray, departed a few days after its new lick of paint.

I had the pleasure of watching a Kuwait Airways B744 doing training circuits in Kuwait a couple of days ago, this aircraft never ceases to amaze me. To think that its almost 50 years old and was designed with slide computers :):)
