I just realised the other day that the morning newsreader is the gorgeous Elaine Stenson. She was last on our screens doing the news on TV3 (or whatever it is now), and had presenting roles on Setanta and ITV to name but two stations before. I don't tend to tune into Morning Glory, though.

Perhaps. Though, it looks like she's been with Nova since July. Maybe she's just doing the news on Morning Glory temporarily?

Well if Conor Irwin does become Dee Woods' permanent replacement then I say Elaine will get the news permanently. Who do you think the new presenters of Riffs & Refs and Nova Saturday Nights will be. We haven't had a stable host for either since Johnny Bowe defected to FM104, and they foolishly let go of Alice Cooper. Maybe Rick O'Shea will get a show on Nova if he doesn't return to Two FM?

I'm not too sure being honest. I have never really listened to Riffs & Refs. I can't see Rick O'Shea appearing on Nova. He may stay with RTE in some way or another. As regards Saturday nights, I don't know who would be most suitable to that time slot. I agree about Alice Cooper, though. I remember him on Today FM, and thought he was excellent. The same for when he was on Nova.

He's still on Planet rock, and lots of other stations around the globe if you miss him that much...some people think he flew in for the show..;)

Let's face it. Nova is morphing into the others. Dropping the classic rock and going classic hits. The breakfast show is dire since Dee went. Marty and Conor talking juvenile ****e and microanalysing the most mundane ****e. Too much chatter not enough music.

I should point out with my previous post that I'm not complaining about Dee. I like her, and think she's a good presenter. And, I guess with all the air time she's getting, others in Nova would agree. However, I would like to see another presenter get the 10am - 2pm slot on a Saturday.

I have to admit Monday to Thursday apart from GG the station is a disaster all jibber talk I do not listen anymore apart from weekends but was flicking through the channels last Friday Morning in the car and your one Ruth Scott was singing TV theme tunes to Conor holy christ it was excruciating !
