I'm so sorely tempted to go off and do a granddad rock spotify playlist just for you... :pac:

You can go down to the arcade and sit on the pretend motor bikes with your headphones on and pretend it's 1979 all over again.

    Spotify..whatsdat..

I love the arcade....but i'm finding i'm too busy these days having a good time....BTW....you bedroom /sittingroom carpet needs changing ...:P

Got me Zenith and planet rock...liken me old stuff Mike...

You manage to get Planet Rock working on mobile? The app won't install on android for me and keep getting stream errors on TuneIn. Would be nice to have an alternative when in the car.

I'm done with drive time on Nova. PCs unending stupidity is too much. I enjoyed it while he off on holidays but it's complete tripe now.
Have to say, Courtenay is possibly the worst presenter I've ever heard, and I have heard some sh*te down the years.
You'd think someone somewhere would have a word, but the powers that be at Nova seem to like it.
    :(:(

Damn! Think it must be geo locked on the apps. Strange tho that it works on laptop (with UK postcode) and on Sky.

Update - was able to download the apk and install it manually.......woohoo!

I'm done with them..have'nt listened since Tom Petty died...i'll tune in to PJ on sundays..but thats it...no more moaning from me...:)

Don't go, Max. Your rants about Nova are hilarious. What was it Fat Tony once said? 'It's funny because it's true'?

From listening to The Rock I had great expectations. ..but alas it didn't take long for Nova to lose its appeal..for me anyways...ta ra Chuck.....over and under....ðŸ˜

Does anybody else think Nova are a bit lost at present. They don't really know who they want to be and who they're aimed at.
On the commute home this evening PC was playing Fun loving criminals, their song choices have been quite strange lately.
Also, don't really know why Dee is doing lunchtimes, it's no different to what Greg and Pat were doing for those 2 hours. Is it just to get a female voice on the radio to appeal to a wider audience.

Personally I'm pretty happy with the music on Nova. They introduced a lot of newer alt stuff running up the loss of TXFM. They play the odd tune I don't like but that's damn good going for any station. Courtney melts my brain too but I put up with it for the tuneage.

    So Ruth isn't getting breakfast?

I would say maybe Steve McQuarrie would get the Saturday 9pm slot?

The fact that you used the word "totally" is worrying...
It's only a word. Or have I jinxed something and I don't know it yet?

Kieran McGuinness is presenting Nova Saturday Nights tonight.

Nice to hear All Tvvins, The Riptide Movement, AND Villagers on the show!

What age (roughly) is Courtney? I always picture him as late 50s-60s... Although I had the same image in mind for Marty and Dee.

Their presenting style is certainly stuck well in the past, IMO.

I would say he is 40 or 50 odd. I estimate that. Youngest Nova presenter I can think of is McQuarrie, he was born in 1988. Oldest I think is John Clarke, mid 60s.

God I despise Courtney. Enjoy pretty much anything else on Nova, even power ballad Thursdays...but I often have to switch Courtney off. Was great when Dee replaced him there for a few days. The other options at that time of day on stations I'll actually listen to aren't overly appealing either.

I would say he is between 44 and 57.

He's been on radio over 30 years, so has to be somewhere into his 50's.
