Think that's the case with most Nova shows but I think the DJs pick from the list of tracks on the computer.

Well, Greg Gaughran's choice of preselected is much better.

No, not as far as I'm aware, they're given playlist with little room for manoeuvre between 7 am and 7pm

I miss the first few weeks when we could rely on hearing smoke on the water every 3 hours

When Joan Lee left, she was replaced by Dee Woods.
When Sinead Ni Mhordha left, she was replaced by Dee Woods.
When Tim Kelly left, he was replaced by Dee Woods.
Mike Moloney has apparently left now, and is being replaced by Dee Woods.
    Notice a pattern there?

By the way I hope they keep Alice Cooper.

Not quite true: she was briefly replaced by Jack Hyland who had stood in before. Then he was replaced by Lisa Gernon. Then, it was turned into two shows with Dee Woods followed by Lisa Gernon. Sorry to spoil your narrative!

This would not be the first time that Mike left Nova!

Paul Moriarity, like Mike Maloney, left Nova and came back again... and then he left again, which apparently Mike Maloney is doing! Paul is now a presenter on RTE Gold as well as a continuity announcer on Radio 1!

If she is taking over , I'm switching off - does she know anything about music except what she reads from various sites ? If it's true it's a serious mistake

Yeah, it looks like Dee is taking over from Mike. So, is that six days that she'll be on? I don't mind her, being honest.

It's sad news about Mike Moloney. He's one of a few presenters who I genuinely enjoy listening to, and have done since his time on Lite FM, bar Ocean FM, as it's not available in Dublin. I never heard Moloney After Midnight.

Hopefully he pops up on Christmas FM this year, but I doubt it, seeing as he presented his slot on the station, just after his 10am - 2pm slot on Nova. And, hopefully he pops up on the airwaves again somewhere soon.

Was on the original schedule there and left around 2009.

Wonder is john clarke staying and if he is, will they cut his jukebox show down from 4 hours??

Not that they care but I'll not be listening on Saturdays anymore . I'll make do with other stations

Personally I find Moloney's radio voice very annoying and would more happily listen to Dee.

Personally I expect broadcasters to know their music and she doesn't . New PD I suppose but at least he came from a successful station. Oh, well actually ...........
