Well it's official..Nova is no longer a rock station..Courtenay played ZZ Ward..not Top.....my (17 yo ) daughter listens to her, Beyonce,,Alicia Keys, Edele etc , but she never listens to Nova .....i could see it coming...

Her genres on wikipedia are listed as blues rock, R&B, pop rock, blue-eyed soul.

I really wish Nova would stop playing "Come Up and See Me" by Steve Harley. It's about as rock as "Call Me Maybe" and is one of the most annoying songs ever made.

In your opinion. I love it.

It sounds to me like you want Nova to turn into TXFM which isn't its remit at all.

They play plenty of Q102 friendly pop on Nova, so I don't see the problem with playing TØP.

I've never heard Barry Manilow on Nova but if I did, I'd say that they shouldn't be playing him. In the same way that while I like ABBA, they're definitely not what this station should be playing (and they don't, to the best of my knowledge).

In relation to TOP, they're very obviously rap/hip-hop and not "guitar-based" so they don't belong there.

I also wish Nova would stop repating the same songs over again, day after day. Period. I often switch over to other stations like 98FM because I like having a bit of a change from the Nova stuff. As for SH&CR I listen to several other classic rock stations on TuneIn and none of them have ever played them. The song is a fair bit cheesy and annoying for my liking. Especially the "bopbopbopbopbopbopbopbopbop"s in the background. Kind of rocky but much more poppy. I think Pat James should be made Nova's head of music. He has a fantastic taste. My ideal station would be a TXFM/Planet Rock hybrid, as opposed to one like Nova that plays some good music but it is quite repetitive.
