Any love for Walcott as an alternative to Sanchez in a wildcard squad? Seems to be nailed on for now.

Can't afford Sanchez but wanted Arsenal cover with kind upcoming fixtures.

Don't know the team / options well enough to know if he's nailed on starter but I'm willing to take a 2-3 eeek punt.

I wouldn't be too worried as both have good fixtures coming up and should do well.

    no Capoue?

Any considerations on my latest WC attempt?

Looks good. If you can swap Jaku to Pickford tomorrow (provided theres a price rise) that will give you .1.

I'd possibly look at Deeney for 6.9 instead of Benteke but it's a close call. Both should be on pens, and Benteke having the team shaped around him negates Deeneys better fixtures.

This would let you put more money into the D which looks a bit light.

Opinions on this team please. Would you opt for Snodgrass over Bolasie having already having Everton cover with Lukaku? It seems a bit overkill and Snodgrass is very tempting on set-pieces.

Not many clean sheets in those keepers (but then there arent many around the league at present)

I had Courtouis and Valdes, at least these two will get save points.

For Capoue? How so? Fixtures look great, I'd argue they have the best next 5 fixtures in the league

It's never too late in this game. Unless you only see Capoue as your 5th mid bench fodder and by no means are willing to start him for his glorious run of fixtures and give him a chance to continue his insane conversion ratio and feck with FHFC statistical mind :pac:.

Think I prefer Snodgrass to Capoue long term, more potential there with frees/corners

    Stekelenburg ; Jako
Valencia, Williams, McAuley, Amat, Friend (Swap for Watford Def??)
De Bruyne (this weekend only), Sterling, Snodgrass, Capoue, Firmino
    Aguero, Deeney, Lukaku

    any thoughts?

My WC team currently looks like this

    Foster
    Williams/Valencia/5.0mil
    Payet/Firmino/Sterling/Antonio
    Aguerro/Deeney/Lukaku

    [Pickford/Capoue/Kone/Amat]

Dumped Ibra/Hazard/VVD/Redmond/Diomande/Morgan ... not sure who to stick in defence for 5mil (was tempted by Lovren or Stones?). Could put in a 4.5 there and upgrade Williams to Baines?

    Any thoughts/feedback appreciated :)

Yeah I agree about Snodgrass. But to me they can't be compared. Capoue, unless he really turns out to consistently contiue delivering, is of the 5th cheap mid kind. While Snodgrass is more of the cheap 4th mid kind. Then, they can be rotated, though, as I said in another thread, I have doubts over the long-term efficiency of this tactic.

About your team. I presume KDB -> Sanchez is next in line. It looks good. Not far from my WC team. Do you have anything left in the bank? Is Snodgrass -> Antonio doable for example?

Considering all the available options, I find the Payet-Antonio doubling up West Ham overkill. With such a team, can't you squeeze Sanchez in for Payet?

4 goals from 7 shots. Good luck with that! :)

Well, IIRC, he was on 3 goals from 4 attempts before this last game. So there is improvement on the sustainability of his returns :p.

I'm going to have Capoue as part of strong front 8. Current plan is bench him this GW, start him over Sterling next GW, AOA GW8. See what happens after that. Unless you firmly want to tie your mast to the big hitters, I don't think Capoue and De Roon/Diomande is going to be better taking into account squad flexibility and TV.

    Cheers

    Ended up swapping

    Williams to Lovren {nice fixtures}
    Mcauley to Evans

Which gives me the. 3 for that Sanchez move without losing to much. Was always the plan!.
Might end up swapping KDB for another one week punt before Saturday - Antonio maybe

Could downgrade Deeney back to Diomande to facilitate it or Sterling to the likes of Snodgrass/Bolasie/Puncheon but then left either having to play Capoue or going without city MF cover.

    First wc draft;
    Foster Jaku
    Baines Amat Holebas McCauley A.Smith
    Capoue Fletcher Firmino Sanchez Snodgrass
    Zlatan Lukaku Aguero

Thoughts? Intent on the those big 5 there. Defence all capable of attacking returns bar Amat. Midfield the worry. Thanks.

Take a look at Robertson at Hull, considering the upcoming fixture list, could be worth the punt

So am I forking myself here? Might change if anything happens on tonight's games. And I am deliberately having an uber cheap defence. I'll upgrade it as the season goes on as required. But what about attacking options?

    My defence is:

    Mandanda Jak

    Holebas Lowton Kingsley Evans Friend

    Then draft 1:

Firminho De Bruyne Walcott Antonio Willian

    Aguero Hernandez Lukaku

    And draft 2:

    Firminho Sanchez Capoue Snodgrass Mirallas

    Aguero Zlatan Lukaku

    Would you advise :

    A) Baines Valencia Holebas Amat Robertson

    B) Williams Koscielny Lovren Holebas Amat

I was looking at A because I have a bit of value built in Valencia and Baines and Hull and Watford have decent fixtures in the short term.

I was looking at B because Arsenal and Liverpool have good fixtures in the short term.

I'm not certain about WBA and have Foster cover for them but not going with Evans in addition could be risky.

Id say A, can see Baines and Valencia scoring more than Williams and Lovren

Definitely go for A, due to the reason above, and also Robertson/Hull got some great fixtures coming up

I am thinking of taking a little punt on Robertson myself in for James Collins next week

    Opinions on this WC team:

    Jaku, Pickford
    Walker, Williams, Holebas, Friend, Amat
    Sterling, Sanchez, Antonio, Capoue, Fletcher
    Costa, Lukaku, Aguero

    Am I ready to go?

Kingsley has been teasing a rise all week. Doesn't look like happening.

Will be the difference between having Lovern or Stones in my final WC team.

Depending on Pep's press conference I might need a rejig of my team. Mad that 0.1m can cause so so much hassle.

It may be no harm as my current ranking is so poor I need as many differentials as possible.

Tinkering on the Wildcard continues....would you rather:

    A) Jagielka and Benteke

    or

    B) Baines and Deeney

Other relevant players in squad are Puncheon, Bolasie and Capuoe (but as cheapest mid on the bench).

Tight choice. I'd go B. On the basis of having Puncheon.

I really like a few of the midfielders around that price point

Bolasie, Townsend/Puncheon, Snodgrass all seem like good value.

Currently Sanchez, Sterling, Snod, Capoue, Firmino but part me is considering Sterling/Capoue to Townsend/Bolasie
