Fyi. Three are actually using some o2 masts now and this will show up a R on your phone. As long as you have a H data connection all is fine.

If you don't have data on R dive into setting and turn data roaming.

would there not be additional charges under roaming no?

Nope as three own both networks you can (as a three customer) roam between them in calls and data.

So are you guys happy with your decisions to buy the OnePlus 3? The reason I ask is I need to buy a new phone after my LG G3 broke, and at the moment the OnePlus 3 looks like the main contender.

I'm actually in the very same position myself. LG G3 kicked the bucket and I'm currently waiting for for the next Nexus devices to be announced (4 Oct) before I pull the trigger on the OP3.

Did anyone ordering off UK have it dispatched from there or Poland like the Irish ones?

Going back to owner related info, I downloaded and installed the 3.5.1 community build, which is flashable via twrp.

    http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-3/how-to/oxygen-os-3-5-1-community-build-released-t3453427

From the comments I was worried it would be too far from standard android, but, to be honest, not seeing a massive difference. Only have it on a day or so. The only issue I did have was with facebook immediately closing. No harm I suppose! :-D

I dont know if I should wait to order my phone from the Irish site or take a chance with the Uk one. Its my birthday in 2 weeks time and I was going to treat myself :):) I cant order it until Friday though. Would I be better just waiting to order it from the Irish site when stock comes in?

Have you sent your phone for repair, or is this a purchase?

IMO I would just wait, yes it's great getting a new phone and all that but OnePlus don't have the best customer support reputation atm and if the phone ever got damaged I wouldn't put it past them to make you return the phone to the UK depot for repair and that would annoy me, at least by getting it from the Irish site there should be less hassle with returns (in theory).
It's a great phone, I love mine but if I was only buying one now I would wait until stock returns to the Irish store.

    HTH.

Another thing to remember is if you buy it off the Irish site you'll get a courier to collect and bring it back too.

If you order from UK you'll most likely have to post or courier it to the UK at your own cost given their customer service. I'd put money on it they wouldn't refund the postage.

Although I reckon as long as it's bought in an EU country and you are in another EU state they should probably just collect it by right but you'd be arguing and most likely have to send registered letters and all that jazz to get them to do it.

So got tired of the Orzly case pushing up the screen protector so switched to a tudia case.

They work perfectly together the tudia has a lip which fits exactly over the protector holding it down

    Highly recommend the combo

    Got it here, https://m.aliexpress.com/item/32686061495.html#autostay

I only put it on this morning.

    Thoughts so far
-premium packaging all the bits you would expect for application.
-screen is short enough on all sides to allow for any case to be put on
-Doesnt have those awful gridded dots on the screen as some other protectors ive had
-clear and bright no 'oiling' on the screen.

The protector has no cut out for front camera, not that it should make a difference but im used to them.

The edges off it have what i can describe as a light adhesive which appears to prevent it from lifting or allowing dust under the edges. not sure i like that.

Over all positive for the money. Will see how she stands up.

I'm thinking of buying this phone after seeing good reviews here! I don't know anything about phones so I was wondering if people would still recommend it after having used it for a while?
I've seen customer service isn't great, is this a big problem? It seems to be the only phone around this price at the moment that suits - there are two HTC phones for around the same price but they were released in 2015 and I'd rather get a newer phone I think. I'm weighing up the pros and cons trying to decide whether to buy it or not. I only heard of these phones a few weeks ago (I usually go for Samsung). I've seen some posts saying the battery isn't great, that would be a concern for me, but if it's similar to most other phones I'd be happy enough. I also saw some people saying they bought screen protectors, the website says that there is one pre-applied, is this enough? I assume warranty etc is fine?
Sorry for all the questions, as I said I don't know much about phones. I'm just trying to decide whether to buy it or a different phone, and don't want to regret my choices! Does anyone have any advice? Thanks in advance!

I won't comment on the HTC phones because I don't know which ones your taking about and I haven't used any of them anyways but I have my OnePlus 3 since two weeks after it launched and I can say I'm very happy with it.
As far as Customer service goes I can say they we're a bit useless at launch with trying to track my phone and a delayed shipment but they gave me and the others a €20 voucher to spend with OP so can't complain there.
The battery life on mine has been great, I'm admittedly not a heavy user but I get around 2 - 2 1/2 days out of it with 4-5 hours of screen on time so if your only using it like me you'll be fine and even if you don't you'll still be fine.
The screen protector that comes with it is just the cheap plastic flimsy ones. Most people are buying tempered glass screen protectors to make sure if it drops it's not the actual screen that cracks.
The warranty should be fine if there's any fault with the phone but I don't know about accidental damage and how that goes.
For everything else I've had no problems, it's really quick, the camera is very good (not S7 good but close enough considering the phone costs almost half an S7 does), the screen is nice and crisp with great colour reproduction but I would have liked it to be a bit brighter, speaker is loud with good sound quality but it's not front facing, fingerprint scanner is lightning quick, Dash charge is a godsend! I use to charge my old phone overnight which I never liked doing but with dash charge if my battery is low in the morning I just pop it on charge, have my breakfast, shower and get dressed and by the time I'm done its full. The software atm is great but OP are supposedly going to introduce some new features from they're Chinese variant ROM that might ruin the stock Android feel it has now but we'll just have to wait and see with that but I don't think it will be a big deal tbh.

Honestly you can't go wrong with this phone so I wouldn't worry about buying one, if you don't like how any of the above sounds there's another phone called the ZTE Axon 7 that's the same price and similarly spec'd but with front facing speakers, a slightly better screen and a high quality DAC for better audio from wired speakers, just another option for you to consider.

    Hope that all helps.

No, I dont think so.It seems to be the only phone around this price at the moment that suits - there are two HTC phones for around the same price but they were released in 2015 and I'd rather get a newer phone I think. Battery life is great for me. 6hrs Screen on time yesterday! Also, people mostly post when they have an issue to find a solution and are less likely to post to praise the phone I also saw some people saying they bought screen protectors, the website says that there is one pre-applied, is this enough? The screen protector is shi7e, buy a Nillkin H+ pro .2mm tempered glass screen protector if you want to use a case or a Orzly Full screen tempered glass if you dontI assume warranty etc is fine? Huh?Why wouldn't it be?

Quick question, what's the difference with the screen protector that comes fitted to the phone and the tempered glass ones you buy...?
I bought one to put on mine but I'm reluctant to take the one that came factory fitted in case I can't get the new one on as neat.

    What is it then?

Is there much to taking it off to fit the tempered glass instead?

    Plastic film.

I've no idea, I imagine you just lift it off.

No, just peel off the pre-applied plastic one and clean the screen with the wet cloth then the dry one and the just place the tempered glass over the screen, use the fingerprint scanner + earpiece as guides to place it on correctly.
