There is an auto top-up feature on the website. It's very easy to set up and monitor.

Just because some people aren't smart enough to top up on time doesn't mean the offer should be avoided.

FWIW, the game doesn't use that much mobile data especially if you have the maps pre-loaded. I've used 23mb since the 10th July on it and I've been playing a lot.

Dunno how people in the country are playing this.
I pass 27 pokestops on my 15 mins to work in DCC.
Back in the home house and theres 1 within a 30 minute walk and no sign of any nearby pokemon.

There is an update for iOS. You need to be signed into the correct Apple ID for it to show up.

I had pokemon on it about 4 times today, I was watching it from my desk and it was like a disco light, it changed colours every couple of minutes. Got a magmar today at merrion square at the same place I saw one yesterday, right beside the gym. I think they spawn there.

Also annoyed as I was walking home with 5% battery and noticed a free spot on a gym but my battery died before I got there

Just caught a CP 725 Hypno in my bedroom...I'm currently holding a gym down the road with a CP 583 one and then this yoke strolls up when I'm not even using my phone. Typical. He was a pain to catch though.

Any spots where more rare pokemon are showing up? I caught two Pigeots today. One outside Killiney Hotel and another at Ben Dunne gym in kimmage. I seem to be catching a huge number of Evees, got my Jolteon early, highest CP I have by far!

Damn you, I've seen evee shadows everywhere but haven't managed to catch one yet, did get a voltorb and magnemite today though and the park near me is full of electabuzz

Is this game almost unplayable for anyone else after 5 o clock? Spinning the stops doesn't register. There's nothing near my work. Might give it a break until it's released in Europe

That's around about when the USA starts waking up and people are going online so the servers get hammered.

I stopped playing around 4 and everything was grand but trying to do anything at about 7 wasn't easy. Had my first gym battle today and got wrecked by a weaker pokemon. They just stay on 1hp??? I don't get how to make them faint

I was fighting a Pigeot with my Jolteon that had basically double the CP and attacks are super effective??

There is a known glitch that prevents enemies from dying if they get down to 1hp. Haven't seen it myself but read about it a few times

Two of my 5km eggs hatched. A diglett and a Ponyta. I didn't have them so that was nice.

I'm finding it hard to level now. I just hit level 10. The servers crapping out on me all the time doesn't help either. I feel like living in town is a massive advantage. If you live rurally, it must suck.

As I got there to collect some Pokeballs a group of about five shady characters turned around the corner and for a moment I thought they might have been staking the place out for someone to mug. I gave them a ‘what’s the craic’ and luckily they just kept walking. They split up, and two jumped into a car near by. Guess they were exchanging gaming tips. Very surreal…

Pokémon Go is a great way to socialise with your local drug dealer . I give it 5 marijuanas.

Anybody having serious issues trying to hatch eggs? I have to travel 2-3x the distance and sometimes it just doesn't work at all. Driving seems to have no effect on distance travelled either

First egg I tried I had to walk 6k to hatch a 2k egg. I've had an egg hatch driving on a motorway but there wasn't much left on it, maybe 100 metres

Yeah, the GPS tracker also works out how fast you're going. If you're going over, I think it's something like 10 or 12mph it won't register as being movement towards hatching an egg.
