with a flight heading to Nice at 5.55 a.m the following morning with 4 ladies who are incapable of carrying luggage but having 11 million items with them, I decided to sell them instead.

Carrying luggage can be inconvenient, mfc, but human trafficking as a solution is a tad over the top.

Is that what they're calling Passion down in Munster these days?

  • Erasmus leaving Munster has nothing to do with the above.

    Nothing.

That "journalist" grew up down the road from me. I'm sure his parents are proud of how he's made a career out of sleazy tabloid rubbish...

I'm going to try not to be too smarmy to our Galway posters here who were slagging off Roscommon football not too long ago after the result today. Ye're lucky I'm such a nice guy. :pac:

    :(

Enjoy the win Bazzo. Just don't do what we did after winning it last year.

Only really watched the first half but it was a game short on quality, Roscommon's goal aside.

I feel like I'd actually have to have watched the match to be able to gloat :)

Alright, half decent gig but not worth the ticket price.

Happily happen to be home at the minute and the town is fecking mental, they brought the bus through main street at half 11 or so and there were hundreds of people out on the streets. All bets seem to be off for drink-related laws at the moment locally, haven't seen the like since the minors won the all Ireland. Don't worry though, I'm sure everyone's hopes are going to rocket sky high just so we can get hammered by Mayo in the quarters.

Both goals were quite good, there were some quality points scored by both teams in the second half but the weather was fairly miserable throughout so wasn't really expecting too much from the match. Nice to see a Roscommon team not afraid to actually play some football for a change though.

EDIT: Oh and there was a full on brawl in the second half that resulted in 2 reds, a yellow and a black, so that's always far from boring to watch.

Only a bit of light ribbing. ;)

Bit of a bleak one, anyone know how to correctly dispose of a dead animal carcass in an urban area? Fantastic Mr. Fox crawled into our old dog house for his final moments. Hadn't been out in the garden since the previous weekend and he was not in good shape by the time I found the poor bugger. Have him out and wrapped in plastic at the moment, residing in an empty wheelie bin but information on disposal of him is relatively scarce online. Animal disposal seems mostly to relate to livestock or pets but very little on wildlife.

It may not be something they can specifically help with, but maybe an email to the DSPCA might be useful? They might have a contact for it

Would really rather not bury him on our property! I'd rather not have to do another move of him...he was gone a bit soupy already. Would say he might be coming apart a little now.

Have emailed the DSPCA but not expecting any prompt response. Been told by farming colleagues that I can expect to be told to bury the fox.

The other option is make an educated guess as to which of my neighbours may be putting poison down and leaving him nailed to their front gate.

Could you take a drive up to some remote part of Dublin mountains and dispose of him there and let nature take its course?

    Or is that not allowed?

Keep him in plastic and black bin him...he'll be landfill one way or another.

Probably the most likely outcome, in all honesty. It's illegal though and the bin collections in my area do have a look inside the bins at times. The smell from this bugger would draw a bit of attention.

And, awec, there's not a hope I'm sticking him in any vehicle!

if you don't have kids or cranky neighbours a can of lighter fluid and a match would solve the worst of the problem. Ashes and bones would be easier to dispose of.

If you wrap him up in a good few bags and put him in a box it should stop the smell and the risk of any goo ending up all over your boot.

"t is an offence to dispose of a dead fox or animal within your normal household rubbish. In Wildlife Management Services we understand that it can be distressing to find a dead animal on your premises and will respond to the job as a matter of urgency. We will remove the animal in line with the Dept of Agriculture policy on dead animal removal. We will also decontaminate the area with a specialist disinfectant as dead animals can often carry disease or parasites and it is important that the area is left hygienically safe. Odour treatments are also part of our removal process to ensure that any noxious smells will promptly dissipate."

Phone number is on their site, be worth giving them a ring Buer.

I'm taking a flight with Ryanair in the morning and need to bring a carry on and a suit with me, do you folks reckon they'll kick up a fuss and make me check one in or not?

I travelled with a carry on suitcase and a suit bag last month and they didn't care.
