I'm hoping to go up to Belfast for the day tomorrow (€10 return promotional offer on Dublin coach). Can you recommend any good craft beer pubs?

Belfast, lovely spot and an enjoyable weekend but not a spot I'd associate with a mad stag weekend. Went on one stag there and it was all done and dusted by 1am.

Great spot for some evening pints though and a ramble around.

Anyone who takes a bus when there's a perfectly good train available automatically becomes my sworn enemy!!!!

Nah, it's the 6'7" Donegal man in me coming out. McGinley's coaches are lovely, but 3.5 hours of wrapping my legs around my head has me hating the morons who lifted the train lines all those years ago.

This bus is actually faster than the Enterprise train. 1h50 vs 2h05 at best on the train.

This is exactly what I'm worried about.

Nice one! Will hopefully get to Ravenhill for a match too.

What's the story with late night drinking? I keep hearing people bitching about it, but not sure on the actual details. TELL me places do actually stay open beyond 1AM.

    Nope, not really.

Yep I once did an overnight shift during an it implementation in Belfast city centre and we spent most of our time on our office balcony waiting around.

By 1am there was nobody around

Eugh, I was so blissful in my ignorance of some of the utter wankytank that goes on in the north. That's Belfast out, so. Cheers for the input guys!

Is anyone aware of an EU rule where companies have to give you notice before a recurring payment if it was more than a few months since the last one?

I was in Belfast for a stag a few years ago and had a great time - highlight was probably an Argentinian restaurant (no idea where) or some hipstery club that managed to mix the theme tune to Mad Men into a David Bowie track.

Speaking of nerds and that in the match day thread... the office got a few cases of Club Mate in. I don't get it. It tastes like tobacco.

For monthly ones there's no obligation for anything over 6 months some notice is needed. Usually in the form of an email

Chewing tobacco is a thing, comes in a little tin and obviously isn't a dry as the stuff you smoke. Haven't seen much of it over here but in my youth I used to caddy for wealthy Americans at my local golf club, lot of them were mad into it. I tried it once, disgusting stuff.

Having said that I have never heard of Club Mate and am also curious.
