Deserve that if only for the butchering of a try down the other end.

    Stunning try.

Lol how was that not holding on for them 20 seconds ago.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,413 ✭✭✭chupacabra

HAH he calls offside against Ireland yet the Springboks have played almost the entire game offside.

be nice to see one of our advantages used well like that rather than just booting into the dead ball area

How many SA infringements did he miss in the build up?

Ridiculous. Henderson had won a clear penalty there, right in front of him. Terrible reffing.

Surreal from Glenn Jackson. What law book is he applying here?

Head wrecking half some good mixed with awful.

A consistent ref would be nice

    Reffing has been terrible today.

Marshall's basics let him down and cost us a certain try and then Trimble caught out completely for the SA try. Add that to Jackson ignoring a certain red card.

Is Glen Jackson the worst referee in world rugby?

the ref has ruined this game but best is not strong enough a personality to be captain.

Glenn Jackson showing that Wales/Scotland game wasn't a one off. He is genuinely useless

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,373 ✭✭✭tractorporn

Worse earlier when a SA player was standing on OUR side of the ruck when he scragged Murray.

To quote the GAA were getting rode lads!!!!

    We look the better side.
The inconsistent reffing, allowing SA to play outside and ignoring infringements like that Henderson jackal before there try it's having a material impact on the game.
    Glenn Jackson has been infuriating.

    It is a smashing game.
    What a take from Pietersen.
Think Ire have a great chance but we need to get the bench on at 50 mins.
Looking sluggish at clearing out players. Guess lads are fatigued.
We look much more dangerous than them.

That rip from Henderson from the scrum half tap and go, what a player. Most big lads would just be happy to bury the opposition scrum half. Clever play.

We need to be more accurate. Marshall has mixed good and bad. I think we can win this. Scrums a worry. Furlong needs to be brought on after 50

Trimble shouldn't have pushed up in the defensive line at the end

  • Administrators Posts: 53,562 Admin ✭✭✭✭✭awec

We have more tries in us.

We're going to have to figure out Jackson though. His decisions are surreal, at times unbelievable. Need to do something to avoid being rode again the second half.

Tbf, Jackson deserves a lot of criticism for how he's reffed this so far. Poor.

It's an outstanding piece of skill by both fly half and winger, sometimes you put your hand up. Very little Trimble could do about that..

Still very much in this game, scrum is a little worrying and may not get much better. May be worth bringing furlong on for Ross early in 2nd half.

Great end of the half try from SA, has to be said.

I'm extremely frustrated to say the least with the ref, but we need to deal with that. Use that sense of injustice to power the second half performance.

Centre of midfield looks really good. Scrum is getting a bit of a hiding, but that's about it. We're well capable of winning this, even with the ... inconsistent application of laws.

You can see why the Saffa's were aggrieved with that, though. Henderson never retreated 10m. Based on most people's attitudes to cards around here, it should have been a yellow card for professional foul.

I'm expecting another intercept try by SA.
