Just pulling down now using snap VPN set to Germany. Download is 1GB in size. Coming in fast so far.

Got it about an hour ago. Quick update. And as usual it seems faster and snappier. But that could be imagined!

Got it this way too.
When download starts turn off the VPN and it downloads way faster.

Downloading it now. Had to change region to Canada to download it, Germany wasn't working.

Noticing after installing that volume doesn't go all the way to mute, you have to use the slider to get mute which is a bit of a pain.

Seems like a nonevent at the minute so going to find some YouTube videos to enlighten me on the differences between it and marshmallow. Must be something to warrant a major point release.

Nothing exciting really that I've noticed. Can't find an option for live wallpaper (not that I really mind.) Mobile data button is no longer a toggle which is irritating, it expands to a larger display of info and the option to turn it on and off. I don't like that.

I think the drop down notifications has improved. There was an irritating thing before with the timer in the clock app. When it sounded it's alarm it was sometimes hard to turn it off. Now it's a simple drop down notification with a stop button.

Mobile data on Tesco mobile not working since update Only found out when I needed it unsurprisingly! Playing around with settings now, will report back with either a solution or a woe is me post.

See below link in relation to changes from marshmallow to nougat. A lot of under the hood stuff with the doze feature being a big one. Took phone off charge at 5 AM and phone used at most 2% battery while not in use till 930 this morning.

Fixed. Settings > sim & network settings > sim 1 (or sim 2 if that's the sim you're using) > Access point names > button in top right corner > reset to default. If that doesn't work:


Settings > sim & network settings > sim 1 (or sim 2 if that's the sim you're using) > Access point names > either select the point name or if none is displayed add one and check your network provider website for their apn settings > manually add them.

Mine is working great now. Only 3g but getting over 4mb/s.

Just me? Getting intermittent wifi after updating. It's showing good signal but says no internet ... a restart sorts it but only for a while. Mobile Data is fine.

i downloaded the update threw snap vpn but because my phone is rooted it wont install the update in twerp does anybody know what folder its sitting in?
or a way around it

No issues this side, maybe clear your system cache.

What's up folks?

I finally decided to unroot, so that I could update the software.
Realised that I was on Oxygen OS 3.1.2 must be 6 months old

The OS is upgrading there to 3.2.8 as I type.

Hopefully, I can get Nougat soon. Is that dropping OTA for people yet?

I got it yesterday via Opera vpn set to Canada. Was pretty quick to download
