I'm pretty sure there was no UK option in the loop app. I'm hoping we will all get UK chargers as from what I've seen on the oneplus forums mainland Europe orders ship from Poland.

Edit: found this one oneplus site

We stock region-specific chargers in our regional warehouses, and alternative versions are not available. However, all our power adapters are compatible with 100-240V (50-60Hz) power outlets, and you can use yours internationally with a converter.

So looks like we'll be ok.

Mine just arrived there now :)

Ordered through the Loop app, order was down as EU so unfortunately got 2 pin plug, but brought in a 2 pin to 3 pin adapter to work so have her on charge now, no probs :)

Build quality looks/feels great, at 58% now, actually 64% now in less than 5 mins so good to see "dash charge" working well, back later with an update when I have it turned on and had a good look

I'm happy for you :D and jealous  at the same time.

So looks like all us EU package folks will get a fcuking 2 pin plug! Time to get onto support to try get a free 3 pin plug :D

Ill just use my Oneplus 2 three pin charger if I get a two pin one from OnePlus. I'm kinda disappointed to hear about that actually.

Yeah I'm going to get onto them now, would be sweet if they did cos I think those dash chargers are twenty or thirty quid so be nice to have a second one

I can't find anything about the overheating either with the exception of one post on reddit. Guy on there has it a couple of days and said it got very warm when transferring all his content with cloneit app. Not overheating.

    Hey there!

So I saw a review of this yesterday, and am thinking of picking one up.

Just had a quick question for those of you that have the phone - how easy is it to invert colours on the phone? The review I saw said there's an option for it, so I'm just wondering is it buried in a menu like my current phone or is it readily accessible?

(Colour inversion is a pretty important thing for me, because reasons)

Not sure about on the 3 but on the 1 its a tile in the basic settings menu. Invert on or off.

Seen it in a video review that it's in the quick settings pulldown menu, you just toggle it on/off.

I already ordered a UK dash charger and cable for work so if worse comes to worst I can always leave the EU one there and use my UK one for home.

Might get onto support though - tried live chat a while ago - said I was number 2 in the queue then it timed out. This happened a few times.

Just finished a live chat about the UK eu charger issue:

I understand. If ever it would actually be a 2 pin charger, we will escalate this issue to our specialists.

She created a support ticket so if it turns out to be a 2 pin charger (which I'm sure it will) I'll be straight back on to them!

I just raised the same, it's pretty annoying. I specifically selected Ireland as country and it said EU, but if you go to buy it now it goes to (UK) in your checkout basket, so it must have just been an issue buying via Loop.

There's a tile on the OP2 as well so I'd assume it'll be the same for the OP3.

Apparently the same happened with the oneplus 2 someone said I think. So would they send out a three pin then free of charge leaving you with a spare charger?

Is there not some regulation that you need to sell electronics with a 3pin plug or an adaptor to Irish buyers? Or did I make that up?

You won't have "dash charge" though.

I was speaking to their support yesterday , although my order also said EU , she guaranteed me that it will come with a 3 pin charger. See also said I can save the chat if I want as she was 100% certain it will be 3 pin UK charger.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,662 ✭✭✭marcbrophy

Would something like this 2Amp 3pin charger do me for a spare?

I realise it wouldn't work with fast charge, but 2Amp would still charge the battery in 90 mins from flat!

When I was onto chat all I was getting was generic replies telling me how to track my order! Eventually I got my point across and was more or less told as I haven't received the phone to send an email when the phone arrives if it has the wrong charger.

Be great if they do come with the 3 pin but on the other hand if it didn't and they had to send you the proper one you would have an extra charger!

The One plus 1,2 and x I ordered previously all came with 3 pin chargers :)

My OPO came with a 2 pin charger and a separately packaged 3 pin adaptor.
I never unwrapped them, they are still in the box :pac:

Did you go for the express shipping? I thought I was pretty quick of the mark in the loop although took me a few minutes to find those stupid badges.

And the important question, what plug you get, 2 or 3?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,242 ✭✭✭god's toy

Three pin but mine was the UK version ( that what it says in the order)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,467 ✭✭✭5star02707

cheers i also got the UK one so expecting a 3 pin plug. it really depends on which site you ordered it.

oneplus.net/ie will still give you 3 pin plugs

@god's toy & 5star02707 - did you order from the loop event?

Yes and no. In that yes at 630 but a PayPal glitch stopped the payment going through and in the end I left that one in my account unpaid and waited till 8pm and PayPal worked the 2nd time without issue.

Ok so after 30 minutes playing with the device my initial thoughts are:
oh how I missed super AMOLED screens they are just gorgeous!
And those black levels nothing compares to them.
. You really don't need anything more than 1080p, I'm looking at the same wallpapers on a G4 (at quad HD) and the oneplus and honestly they look almost identical you are looking very closely to see details difference..in real life you will never notice it unless you're using vr.
. This baby is getting hot. Ok so it's restoring some 95 apps while I'm playing and stuff so it's bond to get a tad warm but my g4 never got as hot as this.
Dare I say it feels a little thin,.. the aluminium is perfect in terms of feel a if not a little slippy in the hand however I would have preferred something more chuny but that's just me. so a case is a must. . For me that is.
The good news about fast charging from a battery pack too. I am getting 1370mA charge rate from a 22500 mA portable battery. So dash or no dash it's charging just as fast as Qualcomm quick charge 2.0 from a battery.
If anyone has questions please ask.

Did you bother getting any of the bundles with it?

    How's the camera working out?
