The water is lovely at the moment...both lake and sea.

Nice. Galway showing 15C with Clifden/Kilrush showing 15.6C.

In contrast the River Corrib is 18C.

I'm just back from a lunchtime swim there in Dangan. Yes the corrib is pretty good at the moment, a lot better than last year.
It was over 20C back in early june though for a few days though.

Absolute misery in east Galway again
Almost a full week without seeing the sun again
And that was only for 2 days after a full week without seeing it before that !
25th July and the lights have to be put on in the south facing kitchen
    DEPRESSING

Another dry, overcast day here again. It's like I'm having one of those anticyclonic glooms, that you'd normally see in Autumn or Winter. First day since Thursday 14th in which I didn't record at least 20c.

    Sure did JJayoo.

The annoying thing about Sligos weather is it always clears up when its dark so that it can be wet again the next day

July has been pretty poor. Today was probably the 4th or 5th worst day of the Summer in Sligo so far. Two Sundays easily beat it and though we havent really had an over 30mm day of all out rain I do remember another day that had very heavy showers most of the day.

The Arctic August might actually transpire into something more pleasant midmonth....once my holidays are over!

Shudda known August bank holiday equals Wettest Day of Summer!

    Dublin 16 rocks!

Persistent drizzle has been replaced with persistent light rain. Moderate rain to follow. Possibly heavy for a while later
It's up there with the worst July now in terms of gloom

I've thought July has been quite good... generally warm and dry for the most part

North County Dublin for the record

Much like everyday since Saturday here with mostly dry, breezy and overcast but today I recorded 0.6mm of rainfall so far.

You're only saying that because it's the present. I'm looking at sunshine statistics (no not mine haha) and 1986 was twice as dull, so was 2012 and 2015 in places whilst 2002 in others. Like I thought July 2015 would be the dullest on record here but the very first July I recorded, 1986 is still the dullest.

After a few minutes I posted, it starts lashing. I'm not complaining much tbh because I need more rainfall or else July will be classified among the driest Julys on record here. We need a drier than normal overall month though because I have not recorded one since last October.

Well it looks like you're the only one who managed to get at least 20c.

    yeah, its bloody depressing.

can we change the title from "Summer Weather 2016"

to "June, July, August Weather 2016"

i.e. just remove the word: Summer :)

got to 20C here earlier today despite the cloud and drizzle, very humid and sticky day.

Aye,we had bright spells today, even though there were bits of sun,I wouldn't say sunny but it seems capable in the lee of hills to hit the 20 most days in recent weeks
Currently 18.8 and still no rain
    Strong warm breeze now though

  • Registered Users Posts: 13,523 ✭✭✭✭sryanbruen

Quite a wet end to the day here at Grange. Up to 4.2mm of rainfall now and still pouring. I reached a max of 19.8c today.
