    No to smoking joints.
No to threesome, though we've talked about it and in theory in fine with it but I doubt it'll ever happen.
Imagine sitting down smoking joints with your folks though. That's blowing my mind.

Why is weed illegal in Ireland?

This is getting too smutty. Any minute now we will have OEJ come in and tell us none of it is necessary :)

    How does the song go?

Did you ever get a ride, Did you ever get a ride, Did you ever get a ride on a tractor
Did you ever get it in, did you ever get it in, did you ever get it inside out.
Did you ever get a feel, did you ever get a feel, did you ever get a feel of a fiver?
Did you ever get your whole, did you ever get your whole, did you ever get your whole week's wages?
Did you ever get it up, did you ever get it up, did you ever get it upside down?
Did you ever see a crack, did you ever see a crack, did you ever see a crack in a window?
Did you ever get a lick, did you ever get a lick, did you ever get a lick of a lolly
Did you ever pull your balls, did you ever pull your balls, did you ever pull your balls at bingo?

Yes to the questions apart from smoking a joint with my parents.

Jaysus. That's just beyond the realms of my experience.

Have you ever smoked a joint with your parents?

Almost. We scoffed down resin sprinkled on toast. It was a terrible experience for all of us because I was used to smoking and so I thought I knew how quickly it affects you.

So when it took longer than normal - I naturally recommended we have more. Which happened twice more.

So by the time it kicked in we were all - really - and I mean really - in a mess.
Have you ever had a threesome?

:) I will just say yes to that one.
How often do you watch porn?

Periodically I guess. We have a subscription to Abby Winters so we watch it whenever something new comes out on that. And probably once or twice a month more going through the back catalog.
Does everyone have equal education opportunities?

Sure. But some are more equal than others.

Actually having tested this survey what is the deal? Below is my reactions in real time to the survey. It might not make sense unless you do the survey. It might not make sense _even if you do_ but I am blogging my experience of it here.

I am trying to answer the questions without over thinking them. Just on instinct or first reaction alone. But my training is making me second guess most of it :)

These questions are mad. "Could you live without contraception" :) Is that a retrospective question about the efficacy of contraception? Or is it asking me could I live a life of sex under 7/28 probability of conception? :)

"could you be happy without sex" caught me for six. I almost clicked yes. All my philosophy and training and DIY and life goals make me think yes. But actually sex is a big part of my life too. I would seriously suffer without it. So I went with "no" against my initial judgement.

At which point the survey decided to inform me that a certain % of other people also answered "no". What kind of survey informs people in real time what other people voted? It feels to me like there is a Derren Brown like lead up to influencing a final decision going on here.

The "friends I can rely on" question is seriously skewed. You can either have LOADS you rely on 100% or SOME you can turn to? What about "There is a small few I can rely on 100%"?

And there is no conditions built into the survey. They ask "how much money do your parents give you monthly" and even if you answer "none" that ask you how you feel about that donation.

"in ireland we are still far away from gender equality". Erm compared to what? Full gender equality? Or compared to other nations? I went with yes on this one. I think we are somewhat progressive if still "work to be done".

There is no "dont know" answers built into really heavy statements either. I feel compelled to chose on things I know nothing about.

And exactly how am *I* meant to answer the question "have you ever been in several relationships at the same time" :) But really how is _anyone_ meant to answer it? You are in a relationship with your spouse and your bank manager for example.

Has anyone got the impression I think this is a VERY unprofessional and useless survey yet?

As someone interested in statistics and surveys and epidemiology I really would like to know why they periodically inform you what other people answered.

Ahhhhh perhaps this explains a lot. There is an NLP trick going on here. Right in the middle of the survey there was a "cloud" of words describing your last choices. With words that might not gel with your choices in the centre - but radiate outwards after it.
I suspect at this point that the entire "survey" is geared towards seeing if certain linguistic practices along the way can influence the result of a final question or set of questions.

Why are the COLORING questions on immigration? Agemda alert :)

Ok this is getting REALLY STUPID now with the question "Do you feel most part of...." and two of the answers are the same but in different colors. At this point I give up on the survey.. The people doing it clearly have no idea. End blog. :)

Apparently the Masturbate question is only there to see if you are telling the truth.

Which. I offer several at different prices :)

But the training I mentioned in the last post was related to my statistical analysis and epidemiology experience and training. I may have _some_ training in how to form - conduct - collate - or parse a survey :)

There is a question during the survey that asks you "Are you done or do you want more questions".

I think you will find OP that there are quite a few people who either have never masterbated or who rarely do it.

There are a lot of strange attitudes and hangups towards sex and genitals in this country.

3% of men and 10% of woman in Ireland from 4508 respondents say they didn't ever masturbate. Absolute liars the vast majority of those people.

90% of woman and 97% of men either do it frequently or all the time.

Loads of the questions have stupid multiple choice answers that lead one way or the other. There was one with 3 things you're afraid of and I could only honestly say 2 things from the list.

I was 24 the first time I masturbated. I had never done it up til then and I'm sure guys probably thought I was lying before that, but nope.

I do it most days, I don't know why people are so uncomfortable admitting it especially women.

    It's bizarre.

Like yourself I masterbate most days. Sometimes twice a day. It's lovely.

If PI/RI has taught me anything it's that there are a *lot* of women out there who have virtually no sex drive whatsoever.

There's a hang up about our bodies pretty much worldwide and being open going back hundreds of years and add to that Irish catholic guilt for many generations it's no wonder people are shy about being open with these things. I think for woman especially there's a hang up about admitting something that they were probably brought up to believe was a dirty thing that filthy boys did that would send them to hell.

I'm not one for shouting from the rooftops about things but I do think with the ongoing liberalisation of attitudes towards sex that masturbation will be something people can be even more open about in the future.

Just don't do it while driving.

I've heard ladies urging friends that have become single to buy a vibrator and such. A female colleague told me just last week that she had to fly home and get something she needed for an interview from her nightstand herself instead of asking her mother to bring it "because there were things in there I didn't want my mother seeing".

It's a personal and intimate thing and I think people are just happy enough to treat it as such rather than it being a massive taboo. To generalise, I think men know what's what and are happy to make jokes not talk about it with each other. I don't think we're as repressed as we like to think we are.

Yea a lot of girls are comfortably in talking about their vibrators. I've yet to hear a man ever discuss his fleshlight or whatever else he might have.
