Between this and LLS last night RTE are really scraping the barrel with guests.

The last time I saw Father D'Arcy, he was on the Late Late Show Country Music Special.

To this day, I have no idea why.

He has always been into that kind of thing, to be fair.

He used to present the Saturday Gig Guide on Alan Corcoran's show on 2FM, plugging Country Shows up and down the country.

    Every Saturday, Religiously.

Ray he answered the question already. Are you listening at all???

Ah Brian D'Arcy, the 'loose canon/renegade' of the Vatican empire. Contained dissent permitted by his superiors, as part of his establishment as the Pope himself.

That's a pretty invalid argument. You can't have it every which way.

If I ever went to confession again, I think Father Brian would be the man to go to.

Two Hail Marys and mind how you go, that would be his kind of penance.

Um hello RTE can we switch out Ray Darcy for Brian Darcy. He's a million times more entertaining. And he's a better speaker/talker too.

    Ray confess your sins.

    Crimes against viewers.
    Terrible interviewer
    can be dismissive of guests.

Take hundreds of thousands of Euro so the viewers can do penance.

Yes apparently RTE radio used broadcast out of GPO at one point (60's 70's I assume)

You honestly think this talking head would exist pre abuse scandals?

    Tea, Father?

Father D;Arcy is spoofing here, the Popes latest writings on LGBTs are not very favourable at all. A shift in position for sure but he didn't go far enough

Going to confession as a schoolchild was great practise for making up lies.

Of all the stories he could mention about the great Terry Wogan, he decides we need to hear about his lack of religion.

How could there be a God? Ray D'arcy exists. What kind of a God would let Ray live?

Before the eulogising of Wogan begins, look at his comments about the Hillsborough victims.
