All of which makes for what creator 3dRudder calls "life-like motion"

If you live your life on a Segway or 'hover board'... :pac:

Not sure if its been mentioned yet, but they are working on a full PSVR game of No Man's Sky, due out in the summer I think.

Never played the same so no idea how good or bad it is, seems to get mixed reviews.

Anyway, I am sure when it comes out it will be costly enough, but apparently if you own the original then the VR part will be free to download online.

So maybe now is the time to go to the 2nd hand sites and buy a cheap copy?

    yeah already discussed last week

    https://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?p=109775082

I also mentioned that there were a few copies of NMS in Cex for €12.

Interesting to note it's shot up to €18 now

It reminds me of every "life changing" peripheral ever, from the Wii-Draw tablet to the Gametrak on the PS2, ended up in bargain bins.

I don't care what it looks like, or what I'll look like, but if it gives proper movement options in PSVR, I'll buy it. It's the 1 thing that has put me off a lot of VR games, crap movement (ie: In Death). I still think a thumbstick on the Move controllers would be better, but doesn't look like that will happen until PSVR2 on the PS5.

Was there ever a dualshock option put into Solus Project? I tried to play it with moves but it's absolute trash.

I'm going to try and get back into Beat Saber so I might add a few of you for highscore excitement.

Had a few games there now, played the 4 extra songs. Was ok, but the second I went back to original tracks I had to quit. Can't stand them.

Now you remember why you stopped ;)

There's maybe 1 or 2 songs in the game i kinda like. I would never listen to them outside of the game.
I love playing every song though.

My goal for this month is to get through Angel Voices and Overkill on expert +

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,593 ✭✭✭JimBurnley

Never really liked any of the songs as songs. But feel like they suit the game in the main

  • Registered Users Posts: 13,854 ✭✭✭✭Potential-Monke

Maybe that's why I'm getting more mileage out of it so, I quite like most of the songs. Even Overkill, when I first heard it, it was just noise. Having played it about 6 billion times I actually like it now, and do regularly listen to the OST while driving. But there are definitely some bad songs in there.

Been a while since we've had any large VR game sales (on either EU / US) ... are we due a big one for Easter?

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,593 ✭✭✭JimBurnley

News today coming out that the current PSVR headset will be compatible with PS5

aye saw that... hopefully it doesn't mean they aren't going to be offering an upgrade though (perhaps wireless and with tracking that doesn't use the camera)

There's quite a few of them on sale at the moment. If you filter the store by VR you'll see a lot of them discounted.

I don't know much about other tracking types as PSVR is only VR I've used, but wireless would definitely be great and worth shelling out for a new headset

Has anyone picked up Falcon Age? I'm tempted by it, it looks like some fun, and it's only €20 but I've lost interest in most VR games where you can move because the walking mechanics are still crap.

Space Pirate Trainer is down to €6.99

    https://psprices.com/region-ie/game/2584058/space-pirate-trainer

Supposed to be *THE* wave shooter to own... I'm tempted to give it a try for this price

Did anyone else buy this? I'm totally flabbergasted how good it is.

Simple premise but pure arcade fun and the guns feel so good.

The transparent shield you can hold in one hand is such a good idea as you are literally reaching around it to fire on enemies that appear blurry, but it's really well done.

Yup! Played a bit tonight. It's great. Better than the other shooters I've played.

Everybody's Golf demo is out and it's pure magic. Blown away! I can't wait.

PSVR without Parole but up a decent video about it this week. Looks average but interesting. 20 quid for 3 hours of game, so, probably depends on how much you'd get out of the falcon mechanic.

3 hours? I'll wait for a sale so.

Tried EVerybody's Golf VR Demo last night, and yes, I'm buying it. Can only do the practice range, and they pricktease you with one of the holes from a course, but you can't actually play it. But the practice was enough to let me know I'll be getting this. I reckon it will take off!

Is it played with the moves, dualshock or both?

You can pick either but obviously a Move would be recommended for the most realistic experience.

Only one move controller is required, im going to look into 3d printing a hand grip for the move controller if such a thing exists.

Didn't PSVR without parole only play the demo?

Cant see how a golf game is only 3 hours long also, where did you read that?
