5 different “worlds” with 5 levels each (last level is normally the boss fight). I’m not a big platforming fan but I couldn’t get the smile off my face playing it, it’s incredible :)

Plus a bonus level per world if you find the chameleon on each level.

I've been playing Borderlands 2 VR with the PS4 Controller. Incredibly immersive and works really well.
Slow mo in VR with a double barrel shotgun never gets old :)
Breaths new life into the game.

Next up is Astrobot but saving that for a while

any comfort tips, I found it made me motion sick quickly.

Fan blowing on you is an excellent preventative for motion sickness

    What have you played already?
Fan blowing in the face, playing it in a cold room with fresh air/window open helped me loads until I had my VR legs properly.

Top tip btw: My fan is attached to a smart plug that is controlled via my Echo Dot (Amazon Alexa).

    "Alexa switch on fan"

This allows you to switch on/off the fan as required mid-game without having to take off the headset as sometimes you no longer need the fan when the temperature drops in the evening and start shivering because it's too cold!

Also handy for dimming lights when starting a VR session if lights are connected.

Nope it's definitely not. People have been saying this for months. The feeling of the breeze tricks your brain into thinking that your body is actually moving so it's not receiving mixed signals and as a result the motion sickness is lessened.

But also because you get really hot in the headset and this brings on the clammy feeling that leads to motion sickness.

Think of it like when you felt car sick as a kid then opened window and breeze on your face helped take away the nausea.

I had been playing a lot of Skyrim VR and astro bot , so I switched the controller scheme to the move controllers and immediately felt a lot better.
I think it was the head tracking on gun aiming that was affecting me.
Definitely investing in a fan though !

    I've nearly completed Doom VFR

Incredible experience in VR with the aim controller

Holy **** when the cacodemons get up close!

I played just after the release, but hated using the aim. Do you know if it’s been updated since to improve the controls.

I’m almost finished with bravo team and I’m considering jumping back into this.

Do people play the vr sitting down.. I was in an awful state trying to play far point standing up

I play on a swivel chair with space all around me. And yes I played sitting down but the swivel chair allows better motion.

I use both anologue sticks and snap turning. It's so smooth to control. What specific issue did you have?

Depends on the game. AstroBot for example you would be sitting, Batman, you’d be standing.

I taught farpoint was good standing. If you don’t like standing, you always have the option of a swivel chair.

The aim just didn’t feel right, felt like my gun was wobbly, even tho I was holding the thing steady, also, I don’t like aiming with my head when using the grenade launcher, shooting with the aim and then using the secondary with my head didn’t feel right. The DS4 was more comfortable. But in saying that, I haven’t played it in over a year.

That sounds like an aiming offset option - Firewall ZH has it too but it's there so that you can aim down sights without obscuring the headset tracking lights with the AIM. Firewall lets you turn it off though so you get 1:1 aiming, pretty noticeable difference.

I stood for every bit of astro bot

I will check out my settings in the Doom menu later and report back

From what I recall, once you completed DoomVFR you got to replay the entire game with the full armoury from level 1.

It kicked ass so much, just vaporising everything. I loved the Aim implementation of this.

Same. Helps you see round corners and over ledges for any missing bots!

Not sure if its been mentioned yet, but they are working on a full PSVR game of No Man's Sky, due out in the summer I think.

Never played the same so no idea how good or bad it is, seems to get mixed reviews.

Anyway, I am sure when it comes out it will be costly enough, but apparently if you own the original then the VR part will be free to download online.

So maybe now is the time to go to the 2nd hand sites and buy a cheap copy?

I don't think it's going to go up in price but it sounds like they will have a new edition released with maybe some extras.

There's a preview of the VR add on here

Did you have crosshairs enabled in the menu? there are 3 options but I have them turned off completely. I mean I can literally look down the sights and get precision shots off.

I did some tests on the training level just to see was my aim slightly off but it honestly felt on point. Not to mention class looking down barrel of the double barrel shotgun :D

f you've been enjoying your time with PSVR but remain disappointed by the lack of foot-based motion-control peripherals with which to wobble and jiggle your way to success, you might be interested to learn more about the officially-licensed 3dRudder, coming to PS4 in June.

The device (which has actually be available on PC for some time) vaguely resembles a larger-scale, round-bottomed Roomba, emblazoned with a shiny PlayStation logo. Sadly, you can't use it to drift serenely around your home, but it's instead designed to allow you to navigate PSVR games simply by tilting your feet in the required direction. The greater the angle of your tilt, the faster you'll travel. All of which makes for what creator 3dRudder calls "life-like motion".

Will support 35+ games on launch.

I played without changing any of the initial settings.
I'll definitely give this a go when I jump back in.
