Was just out in Dublin 15 it's like sleet or wet snow, very windy as well. Couldn't wait to get in out of it

not holding out much hope for snowcover, temps seem to be rising again across the country from the west.

later in the night another raft of cold air moves in.

Interesting picture from netweather radar of Dublin over last 15 minutes or so

Temp dropped to 2.5c Dp 0.9c in that last shower. A real blowy sleet/snow mix. Just proves again that a NW flow can deliver even to the far South East

Proper Snow here in Kildare. Sticking to cars

We had crazy thunder and lightning in East Limerick at around 11.30pm. Deafening. Heavy rain for a time after, then calm. Seems to be a bit squally out there now. I'm hoping it doesn't get too bad.

Hugely impressive flash of lightning and associated thunder here in Castletroy, Limerick.
Heavy enough to rattle the glass in the internal dining room door, and shake the sofa..

Haven't heard that level of thunder since being in a storm in the Italian Alps and having a bolt land ~100m away..

Lightning over east limerick city just now, the thunder shook the house and set off all the neighbour alarms:eek:
