AJ. I would shocked if he doesn't win it outright at a cakewalk.

EDIT: to say obv because AJ is tna's GOAT

Styles. He has to be an almost surefire finalist barring some huge upset. As good as Joe is, AJ was the flag bearer for TNA for a long time.

Its tough, both were great tna flag bearers.

    Samoa Joe ..... just

    AJ. TNA's real standard bearer.

AJ makes his claim to be known as TNA's Franchise Player. He's in with a good shot now that he's in the final four.

Bully Ray for me. He was so over when he reinvented himself, even if Aces and Eights was complete garbage.

Abyss was never the guy with the title, more of a trans champ.

Bully. His transformation from fat old tag guy to the most despised heel in wrestling was astounding

    Bubba Ray Dudley.

Bully Ray without question. My personal favourite champion in TNA history.

Abyss is Bullied out of the title race by the leader of Aces and 8's. Next up is a clash of namesakes.

Jarrett for me. I felt he made the belt important. While Hardy introduced that atrocity shown in his pic there.

I took a serious disliking to Jeff Hardy after the way he turned up to face Sting, stoned off his face. Sullied everything he has done, and ever will do in my eyes

I said it before and I'll say it again, JJ was only bested by Roode for favourite TNA champion. I may just be a huge mark for the man, but I'll vote for JJ the whole way through.

Damn. I'm a huge Hardy fan and was hoping he'd run into anyone other than Jarrett or AJ in this round... Have to go for Jarrett though. Mr. TNA and all...

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,166 ✭✭✭Stereomaniac

Jeff Hardy. I was happy to see him get to be a big fish in a pond when he moved over to TNA.

  • Registered Users Posts: 32,956 ✭✭✭✭Omackeral

Hardy crashes and burns as one of the founding fathers of the company books his spot in the semi finals. Who will join him there?

Angle. One of the best ever in WWE or TNA. Had some classics with Joe and others over the belt too.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,491 ✭✭✭thebostoncrab

As tough as it is to say, I'm sticking with my guns and Bobby Roode. Angle helped make the belt feel important, but Bobby Roode made the belt feel like the most important thing in the world. I adored his run, from when he didn't win it at first to finally getting the belt, Roode was a great champion. Angle is the better wrestler, Roode is the better champion.

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,846 ✭✭✭Moneymaker

Roode. He was a great heel champion. Kurt has never really been about titles and more about just being a ****ing great worker.

  • Registered Users Posts: 20,753 ✭✭✭✭beakerjoe

oode for me. He was tremendous as champ. Pity Tna handled him poorly after his reign

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,301 ✭✭✭✭gerrybbadd

Kurt for me. The best wrestler in the last 15 years.

The Leader of the Selfish Generation has too much for the Olympic Hero and dispatches one of the finest wrestlers of this or any other era. We now have our four semi finalists...and they're ready to go right now! First to FOUR votes takes his place in the final.

AJ for me. Brought tna to another level, good and all as JJ was.

  • Registered Users Posts: 20,753 ✭✭✭✭beakerjoe

Tough one.... Mr TNA vs Mr TNA......

AJ for me, he was born in TNA and was made into a star. This could easily be a final match.

  • Moderators, Social & Fun Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 51,315 Mod ✭✭✭✭Necro

I'm going AJ here, but this really should be the final. Tough draw for JJ.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,831 ✭✭✭ShagNastii

Both huge players in the history of TNA. A big fan of both. My vote goes to Double JJ. A lot of his runs were entertaining for a load of reasons, probably a bit underated TBH.

My lasting memories of TNA is through its hot patch 2004-2007. I'd link AJ more to the X-division and tag titles. Double J at my viewing peak was always King of the mountain (TNA champ)

  • Moderators, Computer Games Moderators, Music Moderators, Regional Midlands Moderators Posts: 24,125 Mod ✭✭✭✭Angron

AJ. As big as JJ was for TNA, my perception of him as a champ is a bit tarnished by the fact that he was part owner of the company. Not as bad as something like Vinny Mac becoming the ECW champion and holding it for a month, but it did feel like a lot of Jarrett's time as champ was for that reason.

AJ remains one of the best things to come from TNA on the other hand.

  • Registered Users Posts: 32,956 ✭✭✭✭Omackeral

AJ has too much stroke for Double J to get past and therefore becomes our first finalist. Who will join him there? Let's find out. First to four.

"Do you know who I am?"...........Bully Ray gets my vote. He is the last relevant TNA champion. He wasnt just TNAs top heel, he was the top heel in the whole business. TNA messing up the Aces n Eights was really the last straw.

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,992 ✭✭✭✭chopperbyrne

    Bully Ray

I doubt we'll ever again see a twenty year tag team specialist reinvent himself as the top heel in a company.

Bully Ray for me too. Reasons as above and given before.
