I've seen John Kavanagh say a few times that he's had Conor in his phone as ''trouble'' since day 1. That's why it worries me that the text is legit. Guessing it's because of an injury.

Lads, it's a wind up. He's in Iceland with a lot of his team and they're having a bit of a laugh.

Please, tell us more about your rise to fame as a UFC fighter and extensive knowledge on what one should and shouldn't do 18 weeks out from a fight

Probably a joke, if not...Kleenex will see a dramatic rise in sales from the Tears of the McGregor Bandwagon

I'm not buying this. What sportsman or sports woman dedicates years of training and sacrifice to make it to the top of the sport and then retires? Can't see it.

If it is true ufc will become quite boring. Very few fighters interest me at the moment.

McGregor knows how lucky he has been so far in his career, so many of his wins were pure flukey, he appears at this stage to be a lot better than he actually is.

Mcgregors main advantage came from him going on extreme diets followed by extreme bulking to ensure he comes into fights at least a stone heavier than his opponents, so he has effectively been fighting people in lower weight classes than him, it's basically cheating in my opinion and ufc will sooner or later bring in new rules to stop this practice, he knows this himself. He also knows how dangerous the extreme dieting and bulking is, and that sooner or later he will die if he continues on that path. Which leaves him fighting people he has no significant physical advantage over, and we all seen how that went when he fought Diaz, a middle of the road fighter who hadn't done any training.

There is no point in him continuing at this stage as his career can only go downhill from here. At least if he retires now he still has some credibility about him.

Ufc will give McGregor a percentage of the company and he will become heavily involved in the promotional side of the business, it's where his skills are, they're certainly not in fighting.

Why not? The thread is chaos, might as well not take it too seriously at the minute.

    A stone heavier?

Not a chance. Most of the fighters he fought bulked up just as much as him.

    That's all bs talk.

deadly serious, if hes using a smartphone a lot he could strain his neck. Prob contributed to him not getting his head out of the way of Diaz's 1-2 in the last fight
