How would they know it's ''you'' who leaked it on Boards. I doubt very much they know your username on Boards. If there is some news about to ''BREAK'' I'd be sure that you are not the only one to know about it, so them coming after you for legal ramifications would be highly unlikely.

Most likely himself and Kavanagh were bored at home and said they'd try and wind everyone up for a laugh. An hour later and the MMA world has essentially exploded. I'd expect a "just goes to show how much I run the game" or something of the sort response in due course.

That said, maybe he has done his knee again and just couldn't be arsed with another rehab and comeback? Maybe the fight a couple of weekends ago has had a big impact on him. Maybe he just doesn't feel motivated any more?

If I was Conor I'd have been gone after the Aldo fight. Despite his significant spending, I'm sure he could afford to quit without ever being short of a few pound for the rest of his life. It's a tough game that takes an insane amount of dedication and discipline and no matter who you are it has surely got to take a strain eventually. Who wouldn't like to be in a position to be able to retire at 27 when you were on the dole at 24?

He has given me some of my best nights as an MMA fan and I certainly wouldn't hold it against him if it turns out to be true.
