did he mention that on the podcast?

It's mentioned in the last ten minutes or so. Was hard to listen to. Easy to hear how conflicted he was with everything, but can't imagine anyone not wishing him the best of luck.

WonderfulLife starts a blog and Andrew McGahon leaves SevereMMA. Coincidence...?

haha! Funnily enough Andrew did actually come to me and say he was recommending me to the boss man, that my writing is great....but he's brutal for letting ya know anything. You could message him Happy Christmas on the 24th of December and he'll reply to ya at Easter.

I didn't hear the bit where he said he was interviewing Conor today? Is that for Severe or The Mac Life?

For sure Conor doesn't have the work ethic or critical thinking of Brandon

I gotta disagree with you there Joe.

In fairness it must have been tough for him to sit there and listen to Schaub spout his sh!t.

Schaub is a massive McGregor fan in fairness, it was one of the few ones were he was happy to let McGregor speak

Missed the pertinent part of your original question. I didn't hear that mentioned, only heard it on here and there doesn't seem to be anything on Twitter etc about it.

Schaub is a clown. He changes his mind on his fighters like the wind. I heard him say in the lead up to 202 that both Conor and Nate we're 'definitely gonna win bro', 100%". He seems more concerned about his looks and body then MMA these days anyway.

How class would it be if our MMA Insider "JohnSBG" pops in out of the blue on this thread with a picture of Ido Portal doing some crazy moves. Can just imagine Ido in NY doing mad parkour type-stuff :pac:

There is a popular vlogger called Casey Neistat who lives in New York. He has some great cinematography skills and has a large audience. Would be cool if they did a Maclife video or something together

Would enjoy if he had another few potshots at Cerrone

Will that go out on Severe or Mac Life?

I presume Mac Life. Anyway will keep eyes peeled

In a way i'm not shocked but i'm extremely surprised by the lack of promotion for UFC 205.

Cost-cutting must be in full swing.

They've hardly dropped any new promos in weeks, we're 11 days out now, there's been no promotional push whatsoever.

I assume it's gonna begin now when Conor gets to NY but even still, for an event of this magnitude i thought they'd really go for broke on the advertising.

The last time I remember him saying he's gonna set the game alight and walk from mma,

A few weeks ago at the press conference I heard him mention the exact words if you listen here 2 mins and 38 sec mark he references it which is interesting, maybes he is taking a break from the game

@Wonder - it will be on severe I think.

It's the biggest card ever but marketing is definitely lacking.

    New ownership withholding budget?

You don't need that much promotion with a card such as 205 because you have so many big names, with huge social media followings, mentioning it in every post they make on every platform.

It'll ramp up fight week. I reckon we'll get a big promo to kick things off on Saturday during Dos Anjos vs Ferguson

I dunno man. They really ramped up the UFC 200 promotion weeks in advance, dropping promos and Dana doing huge media pushes. I definitely see a cost-cutting approach in this WME/IMG regime.

    Could be deliberate.

In the MacLife vids the week leading up to 202 he was throwing lots of spin kicks, like in this one, and then come the fight I think the one spin kick he thew John shouted at him to stick to the gameplan.

My call on the fight is that Conor knocks him out cold and just as the ref is asking Eddie if he is okay, McGregor whispers in his ear: 'You've been hit by.. a smooth criminal'.

Man, just over ten days out now. Can't wait for Emedded even. Should be class.

Does this announcement hinge on Conor winning? It'll be a damp squib if he makes an announcement after a loss.

Wasn't he going to call out GSP if he had won the first Diaz fight?

Just seen the latest Mac Life video. Conor is in the best shape I've ever seen him. Lockhart is higher than high by the looks of it too :pac:

haha. You never know with USADA they might start testing nutritionists lol. To be fair, it could be just the natural buzz of spending so much time in Straffan - it has that effect on people :pac:

Do ya'll think that, despite being a pro, there will be small part of mcgregors mind that will say that he fought and won at a heavier weight so that this fight will be 'easier' for him??

Perhaps a potential weakness or something to favour his opponent?

Whatever about weight, there'll be a small part of him thinking Eddie doesn't have Nate's chin. He'd be right there too. It's a lot easier to rock/wobble/drop Alvarez than it is Nate.

The problem is Eddie shares amazing heart and determination, like Nate. Unless he's KO'd stiff or choked unconscious, he ain't quitting and will be there all the way to the final bell.

In my opinion, Conor has too many good people around him to allow him to privately think it will be an 'easy' fight. They can say what they want in public but in private i'm positive they are expecting a tremendous challenge.

I doubt it. Alvarez and Nate are probably the same weight. Alvarez is a good few inches shorter though, probably around the same height as Conor.

He should be expecting to fight the strongest guy he's ever face because he is.

Hopefully he doesn't underestimate Alvarez like he did Diaz first time round........I don't want to see that familiar 'gas face' 2nd/3rd round, my nerves can't take it

First 2 parts of an excellent casual-fan-friendly breakdown by UFC Featherweight Dan Hooker, assisted by Kai-Kara France (this season on TUF).

It's an in-octagon breakdown demonstrating strengths and weaknesses of both men. The final part is due out later today.

Highly recommend a watch. He keeps it simple and demonstrates the techniques and cuts in footage of the 2 men fighting.

When Eddie is beaten does it mean Santa Clause is real?
