Logically you should drop Payet as he played 120 mins midweek and has no goals or assists in his last 3 games but he is due an explosions, so it's a 50/50 call to start or drop him. I'm gonna captain him as a punt. My other option is Firmino but I can see that game being 0-0 or 0-1.

I've saying since he was signed that I couldn't he's not going to walk right in and take the role of Southampton's sole striker right away, Pelle has been fantastic consistently since the start of last season (in real life not fpl), even when he goes on a goal drought he's key to the team's play, holding up the ball to feed the midfielders. Shane Long has done well to deputise when Pelle was injured, so when signed Austin was 3rd choice striker.

I can't see the club changing to 2 up top, theyve played with one striker since promotion (Lambert and then Pelle) so its likely going to be a case of Pelle and Austin vying for one starting spot.

Id love to own Austin in FPL as i think hes more capable of getting major fpl points as he did last season for the worst team in the league.
But I see it as too risky to get him in when he's not guaranteed minutes.

If Pelle leaves in the summer which has been strongly rumoured, Austin will be in GW1 team next year, but with so many striking options at the moment he seems an unnecessary risk.

Speaking of risks. If I 100% knew Costa would play tomorrow Id be using my Triple Captain Chip on him! Might as well have a bit of craic now that this season is a complete write off.

Sturridge and origi and coutinho all back makes firmino far less likely to play centrally. He will probably start as the striker tomorrow but I reckon Sturridge gets at least 30.

I did, however, sell Kane so it remains to be seen how good an idea that was... Least I didn't do something mad and gamble on Adebayor. :pac:
