Maybe it's the angle of the photo but from the rear, that M5 looks absolutely woeful.

I seriously doubt BMW do an OEM quad exhaust for a 520d

    My thoughts exactly.

    06 looks like a 90's yoke.
Same with Toyota Century. But I guess Japanese CEO's love them though. ;)

Phibsboro. The new Pug 508, first one I've seen. Is it a coupe?

Sort of, they are still 4 door but have a lower roof line and frameless windows. Similar idea to a VW Arteon/Audi A5 Sportback.

What are your thoughts so far Mark? Not a bad looking car, I like the alloys. Whatever way the interior pic is, it looks as though the passenger side air vent is overhanging the dash a lot :D

I might be in the minority here but I think it looks terrible. The proportions look all wrong.

Who is the target market for the 2 series Gran Coupe, surely families would opt for the 1 Series or the 2 Series MPV? Also the rear seems very bland.

Personally I would say middle-aged women.

Despite the engine sounding terrible on paper, it actually has adequate levels of torque, not loud and 3 cylinder sounding, handles well, decent feedback through steering etc so it still carries some BMW traits despite being FWD. I suppose either 1 series drivers who want a different type of boot and maybe people trading down who are older and used to have a 3 series maybe. If anything, it’s just a little too pleasant and not particularly exciting.

Probably aimed at the same people who bought the old 3 Series Gran Turismo i.e. nobody.

Have to agree I think it falls between posts. If you want a coupe buy a coupe. The rear windows don't go down fully on them so loses that nice frameless feature. Mark, do you notice they are very rough on turnover. I had one as a loaner and found the engine ok, but at start up the whole car shook. The ambient lights in them are nice inside at night time. Wasn't a fan of the lane assist or the buttons for the idrive, I didnt like pushing them which sounds like an odd complaint but they give an odd click.

Also find newer cars have features now as companies are running out of ideas and it's purely tech for the sake of tech. Stuff like gesture control and the car I was in had some sort of bs where it played tranquil music and did something with the AC to revitalise you.

This reverse assist feature is a gimmick:

Its awful looking. Reminds me of those clio saloons you'd see occasionally when on holidays.

They previously released a 1er saloon in China (which is a better looking car imo) - although you could argue that all their models are firmly aimed at that market these days.

Like all new model BMWs so.

They released some teaser pics of the new 3 series m3 touring during the week, all rear end pics... I’m just hoping they don’t slap those gigantic nostrils on the front of it like the new m4/7 series.

The cars look like cheap china knockoffs now. That two series is no exception, absolutely horrific car.

Ex cop car? That’s a lot of miles in such a small car for one person.
