Saw this car today in Clarehall based on a 911, hardly in the Gumball though!
Had my Canon with me in the car for the Gumball

Looks immaculate. Out of interest can you further expand how it's based on a 911. Is it a restoration job where a beetle body was rebuilt into a old 911 chassis? As it looks like an original beetle to me which long predates the original 911

It was a tongue and cheek comment as many say the 911 is related to the 1930s Beetle.

Any chance you could resize those?

  • Registered Users Posts: 14,309 ✭✭✭✭wotzgoingon

They resize automatically in the new boards.ie site.

Off topic I recommend everybody to switch to the new site. I have been using it a while now and got use to it now. Everyone should as well as they will change to the new site eventually and there will be a learning curve so you may as well do it now.

add a lowercase h to the end of all of your imgur links to save the hassle of resizing and reuploading

    http://i.imgur.com/Ggs0KtB.jpg becomes http://i.imgur.com/Ggs0KtBh.jpg

and it'll be 1024 px on the longest side

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 2,252 ✭✭✭Dia1988

    I'll add the "h" then

Perhaps I suggest that we should adhere to the rules of the Photography forum and try and keep to a 800pp longest side limit on posted photo's, as it keeps things soo much neater!! Anyone wondering how best to do this, start uploading with Flickr. Besides being the best for quality, it gives you the option to get a link for mear every size of photo once you've uploaded it

I keep my flickr for my best photos only and never upload all photos from events there... But i'm resizing my photos to 1200 wide and I wthink it's ok. Looks okay on my laptop anyway, fits the screen.

Anyway Gumball start today was so **** and I miss Mercedes AMG GT3 and Batmobile because they didn't have any route... Many cars were going different way than I was staying and waiting for them so I got pissed off with all this and they can never back to Dublin again... Media Pass didn't work last evening or today at all so no photos from today because I'm not happy with them... Next holidays soon and a lot of photos of cars... supercars, classic cars, concept cars...

And here is what I saw and what I see everyday:

Tbh from any pics I saw I thought the cars were all destroyed with stickers. I'd much rather your car spotting pics from Monaco than sticker-bombed cars in Dublin. :pac:

I'm the same.. Stickers ruin the cars, same with Cannonball but last year I got some photos without stickers. Next photos be cars without stickers and I'll try to edit some photos from Gumball cars with no stickers (not many anyway)

I know we are all sick of Gumball photos but thought I'd share what I got.

Great photos. I'm so angry my dad couldn't be my co-driver today and I couldn't take any motorway shots but this will change at Cannonball in September for sure... Now... roll on holidays and more better and more rare cars than those which were here.

We'll have to see the other side first.

    Edit: looks to be superficial

Imagine the reaction of the small independent Scottish garage on getting the call to rescue the Gumpbert.

Black Rolls Royce Ghost with the reg 1H on the Maam to Cong road on Sunday. Did not get a chance to take a pic as he overtook several cars.

I would hazard a guess that the reg was worth a lot more than the Ghost and from looking online a 2015 is about £200K sterling!
