I thought that too. But someone mentioned a good point that players would just bulk leave game modes they don't like. So solo players leave Rift, groups might leave Clash etc. Dunno would it be any worse than the current amount of leavers though

That's just part and parcel of any shooter these days unfortunately (looing at you overwatch/rainbow 6 siege), I think the pros outweigh the cons. At the moment I find myself getting a bit bored after the 3rd or 4th match of the same gametype in a row. Plus it's not like IB is ranked or highly competitive or anything like that, I barely notice when people leave matches in Destiny tbh.

Still think a playlist of all game types on rotation would be the best. Would like a playlist of that nature in the game fullstop, never mind Iron Banner.

    Classic 6vs6 would do that.

And Classic now includes Rift too right? I defo played some rift that time I was going for Void kills and I did that in Classic

Had forgotten about that actually, shame it excludes newer content.

Should do. I would think Supremacy is the only mode not in there.

thats one thing about Destiny PVP and especially IB. The incentive to stay in is not enough to keep players from leaving, especially after a few mins when one side is hammering seven shades of crap out of the other.

Anyone who leaves a game only 2 mins in is a quitter and I don't have time for them...

There were a few games of IB where I joined and we were getting hammered or we got hammered from the get go but we clawed a few games back to win, not all of them but a few. I think that's the best thing about this game, more often than not you can make a come back and get the clutch victory

Those are satisfying. You'd feel like rubbing the screenshot of the victory in the quitter's face!

    IB Control returns on Tuesday

The pulse rifle on offer for it this time out is AMAZING. I got one with a good roll from a package/bounty last time out (Small Bore and High Caliber rounds) and I'm a big fan of it. High Caliber Rounds on a pulse rifle is painful for the people getting hit with it - the flinch is insane. Especially on the fast fire archetype.

I got a good few Clever Dragons the last time. Have two left. They have good rolls except for the last, which is Glass half full and a stability one I don't really need.
What's a good roll in the last slot?

As good a reason as any to return.

Never got the the Pulse last time round, though wasn't all that interested in Supremacy really. Got to Rank 4 and left it. Couldn't have been ar$ed about grinding to R5 and beyond for the pulse. I did get the scout, which is like a mini Mida.

    Clever Dragon is a pulse....

    I was assuming
    a) He meant hidden hand
    b) He was taking the p***

    :)

    I would personally rank it:

    1. Hidden Hand
    2. Counter Balance
    3. Range Finder
    4. Life Support
    5. Feeding Frenzy
    6. Outlaw
    7. Unflinching
    8. Glass Half Full
    9. Head Seeker
    10. Secret Round

I got headseeker on mine. Meh.

Interesting you rank Secret Round last as looking earlier I found this

    https://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/comments/2xph5a/discussion_contrary_to_popular_belief_secret/?

TL;DR: Secret Round is different than what it says. It costs you only two out of three bullets if you hit a full burst on a target.

You get nearly 50% more bursts this way! You won't hit the target every time, but usually you do. This gives you a lot more ammo. And what has been the problem with a lot of Pulse Rifles? That you have to reload so often.

It's a shame the perk is worded poorly, the perk seems amazing in practice. 33% more ammo basically

Interesting - I rate it poorly based on how it is worded and thus how I understand it (My assumption being if I missed shots to begin with, a fourth shot is likely to miss to - making it a poor perk)

I looked into that Pulse Rifle post. It's outdated. Secret Round does not work like that currently

Counter balance is the best by a long shot

Spent 10 minutes trying to decide between my two Clever Dragons yesterday and just gave up

    A
Send It / High Impact Rounds / Flinch

    B
Braced Frame / Snapshot / Counterbalance

A has better accuracy, range and 32 in the mag but B is an absolute lazer in comparison albeit with 24 in the mag. B's actually almost the same as the Vendor roll this week

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,990 ✭✭✭✭AdamD

    B by a mile

    Thanks
TBH I was thinking that but couldn't get past the stats on A.

Testing them by firing into a wall and the bullet spread on B was just insane.

  • Registered Users Posts: 44,540 ✭✭✭✭Mitch Connor

Bullet speed on both should be the exact same, there are no perks to change the rate of fire of the gun.

B just went straight up with very little recoil A pulled hard to the right, up and all over the place.

My mistake. I read it as speed, not spread.

yep - got them off a quest line last time but that quest isn't active this time around. Oh well.

I initially found it a surprising change but.....

You get weapons/armor from your bounties - so that is four per week.
Previously it was a crap artifact at rank 3 and a chance at something good from 5.

It is better, far better, now. Also, post game drops still seem far better so overall Iron Banner is far more rewarding than it used to be - even if the removal of rank 3 and 5 packages is a bit jarring at first.

post drop rewards are deffo better and seem more plentiful allright. Would have still expected at least 4 strange coins for reaching rank5, gotta give me something to aim for :)
