When I go to my local SuperValu in Mount Merrion and the 2 for €1 vegetable offer section has no 2 for €1 vegetables on display. The guy in charge of the section is busy adding to the already massive pyramid of boxes of grapes instead of filling up the empty displays in the special offer section.

I have now got an extra 2 days off school thanks to those floods, so I'm not back until Monday. This is great and all but that's another 2 days that I won't get paid for. January is going to be a painful month.

I have to pay 700 euro for my stupid Religion course by the 15th January but it'll have to be late. And also, who expects someone to pay 700 euro right after Christmas???? Why couldn't we pay installments throughout the year for God sake.

There are a sub-species of people who go to IKEA just for lunch and a browse around the store to pass a bit of time on a weekend and entertain their kids in the process. There they are happy out walking as slowly as is humanely possible and suddenly stopping dead in front of you so they can look at kitchens that they have no intention of buying.

These people need to be rounded up and shot so that those of us mad enough to go to IKEA who are actually buying things can get in and out in half the time

Many people don't realise this but you can only be woken up by a noise that is more than 1m away. It's the body's natural way of maintaining a consistent sleeping pattern.

If you turn the blender on right beside his ear, you should be fine. Let us know how the pancakes turn out.
