I'm assuming they have a larder of stuff, and not literally just those 10 ingredients?

Generally standards available - oil/cream/seasoning etc

I think they are given the basics along with those ingredients.

Sam says he took to cooking 'like a duck to water'

    A dead duck I'd say

OK, were shallots mentioned in the list of 10 ingredients?

I don't remember them (and don't want to go back until the end to check!) - if they were, apologies, but if they weren't, well then it wasn't really only 10 ingredients!

That's the most insipid looking ravioli I've ever seen - talk about unappetising!

Surprised at the importance the top chefs are allocating to the critics

    Yuck!

Sam's accent is getting stronger (and less intelligible!) as he gets more and more nervous :D

    That guy.. what's his game?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 31,745 ✭✭✭✭HeidiHeidi

This thing of a shepherd's pie as a side dish I can NEVER get. To me it's a full dish, full stop.

And giving your dish a silly kid's name is always a slight sign of desperation IMO.
